It’s hard to buy gifts for our children when they’re all grown up & their taste is now waaay different from ours. I’m the surprise-your-kids type of mom, but when it comes to buying presents that may cost a finger or two, it’s always better to be safe than sorry, lalo na’t hindi pwede mag-refund. So now, surprises are off the table & I just ask them outright what they want. (Money is so impersonal, I still want the pleasure of being able to shop for their gifts.)
Back when I couldn’t afford to, madami siyang pangarap. But now that I am somewhat able to, wala na syang gusto hehe. “I’m content with my life mom”. What a good boy this Babyson of mine is! <3

We finally settled on a TV & sound system. When we moved to our current house 3 years ago, mej naubos ang budget ng Dad nya dahil sa renovation, kaya DeVant lang ang nabili ni senior para kay junior. Eh nagla-lag daw when he plays PS4, so he asked for an upgrade to Samsung when I cajoled him into telling me his birthday wish. 🙂
Meanwhile, gift from his big-spending and now oh-so-broke sisters lol. <3

When his Ate turned 18, she had a party. When his baby sister turned 18, she had a debut, got a car, and was able to travel –madayang bata! 😛 So naturally when my Babyson turned 21, which is the equivalent of a “debut” for boys, I asked if he wanted a big party as well. His sisters suggested VERSUS BARCADE. Sounded fun to me, but this low key boy of mine wanted none of that. Simple dinner lang daw gusto nya.
Simple dinner is what he got for his special night with his closest high school friends..

As always, I ordered food from Neil’s Kitchen, our favorite caterer. The buffet spread: * California Roll (1,195×2) 2,390 * Caesar Salad 1,195 * Baked Salmon 2,995 * Roast Beef (4 kilos) 11,200 * Roast Leg of Lamb 3,200 * Chicken galantina 1,595 * Paella Negra (Small – 15 pax) 2,295
And also as always, my baby boy requested for manly meats so I ordered Roast Beef & Rack of Lamb.

I was up to no good on his actual birthday (separate post to follow), so we totally missed the family dinner I booked at Yurakuen, his favorite Japanese resto. </3 I really felt so bad as this is the first birthday in his 21 years that we were not together.
I’m really so blessed that his sisters & lady love made an effort to cheer him up & make up for my shortcomings as a mother. :'((

My poor children! :'(( Their eyes are still maga from crying all day huhu. Instead of a happy birthday, it was a sad one tuloy because of what happened to me. </3
To comfort him, his ladylove asked his friends to go to the house that very night. I am so grateful to these people who truly love my Babyson. THANK YOU GUYS!!!
