For those of you who have been reading my blog for quite some time now, I’m sure you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. Where he is simple. I’m flashy. Where he is easy, I’m complicated. Where he is humble, I’m boastful (and not a bit sorry hahaha). For short, we are the complete opposite of each other, and yet, we work.

Sa kanya ako natutong mag-jeep. Sa kanya ako natutong tumawad. At higit sa lahat, sa kanya din ako natutong magtipid (which up to now, I gotta admit, I’m still trying hard to achieve). 😛

Today, November 19, marks our 25th civil wedding anniversary (our church wedding anniversary is on March 19). Kap & I contemplated renewing our wedding vows, but we already did that in Paris 2 years ago when our love story spanned 30 years. Parang overkill na if we renew our vows again, when we all know for a fact that Kap is SUPER devoted to me, lol. Besides, our marriage contract has no expiration date, forever na yan, kaya it’s kinda useless going through the motions & spending unnecessarily for a re-wedding.

So we decided to just travel abroad as a family this Christmas break & celebrate our consolidated silver wedding anniversaries simply, sans pomp & pageantry. As you know, family has always been important to us, it’s what tied us together from the start. And what better bonding than going on a month-long trip! <3 24/7 together, ang saya saya!

But of course, we cannot let the remembrance of our union pass without some sort of a celebration! 25 years, after all, is no small feat. Two decades & a half & I’m still head over heels in love with this #simplengtao. 😉
