Tokyo Day 8

Weather forecast predicted rain today & true enough, umulan nga! How nice of our bnb host to provide a couple of umbrellas, so we took them for a spin & didn’t get wet. Yun lang, hassle kasi may mga bitbit na payong the whole day.

I like these Japanese see-through/transparent umbrellas & I was contemplating on bringing some home (mga isang dosena, weh). Kaso yung kontrabida sa buhay ko, hindi pumayag. Sa dami daw ng pwede kong iwi, bakit payong pa. Diba? Kontrabidang tunay??

These plastic umbrellas retail at just 300-500 yen (250 php) available at all convenience stores, and great for negotiating your way through the crowded streets of Tokyo, with basically full visibility through its clear plastic covering. Kita lahat, ang galing! <3 I promised myself I will buy some na talaga pagbalik naming Japan sa February kahit maghimutok pa si Kap, hmp!

Anyway, Babyson wanted to buy a Nintendo Switch. He’s been thinking of buying this particular toy for the longest time -since the day it hit the market actually, kaso nga wala siyang time maglaro, kaya laging nauunsyami ang pagbili. Rinding-rindi na, Ate took us to Akihabara (electric town) so he can finally buy one.

Akihabara is a district in central Tokyo that is famous for its many electronics shops ranging from tiny one-man stalls specializing in a particular electronic component, to large electronics retailers. The stores offer everything from the newest computers, cameras, televisions, mobile phones, electronics parts and home appliances to second-hand goods and electronic junk. So if you’re looking to buy one, some, or all that I mentioned, dedicate a whole day to this district at talagang malaking lugar sya!

Guess what? After spending 2 hours at Akihabara & mommy having a major sneeze fest due to all the alikabok sa mga pinagsisiksikan naming lugar selling old stuff, Babyson still didn’t buy ANYTHING. @_@ FML. Nagsayang lang kami ng oras huhu.

That night, Ate asked us if she could meet up with some of her med friends who were also in Tokyo. Stage mother that I am, syempre nagpilit akong sumama HAHAHAHAHA. “Mom, that’s gonna be so awkward ano bah? They don’t even know you!” Eh di wow, sige na nga, basta ihatid ka ng kapatid mo. So my dutiful Babyson brought his sister to meet up with her friends for dinner & drinks, then met back up with us for a rotating sushi dinner at Tenkazushi in Shibuya (not so good – skip). Kabilin-bilinan ko bantayan nya, eh nahiya ang mokong. Buti nalang her friends brought her back to us after in one piece.

Japan may be a safe country but like any other places, may mga look-loko din. Exhibit A – itong lasheng na Hapon na gegewang-gewang maglakad & bumped into me, tapos sya pa ang nagalit at naghamon ng suntukan when he lost a grip on his phone at nalaglag. Pinagsisigawan ako, hello? Dami kong alalay pare. Palagay mo papayag silang hamak-hamakin mo ako? Kap, Ate & Babyson came to my rescue while Lovey & I cowered in fear lol. Yes, duwag kami ni Bunso. ;))

Good thing security materialized right after Ate screamed “POOOOLIIIIIICE”, and they were able to stop a pending fight. Yan na nga ba ang sinasabi ko, that’s why I don’t want my kids going out on their own lalo na’t in a foreign country. Buti nalang Kap looks Japanese kaya hindi kami pinag-initan ng mga sekyung Hapon. Baka sa kulungan kami pulutin kung nagkataon!

Henyway, our kalat is growing by the day. Araw-araw, Kap & the kids are try’na squeeze in more things in their already bulging maletas. Tomorrow, we are going to Gotemba Premium Outlet, I’m already quaking in fear thinking of the damage they’re gonna do there. @_@
