When you’ve been together for as long as Kap & I have, it’s really a struggle to think of what to gift your OTL (one true love, duh) when an occasion arises.
30 years we’ve been two-gether & I’ve really run out of ideas on how to spring a surprise. Imagine with all the special occasions celebrated throughout the year: Valentine’s, Anniversary, Father’s Day, Birthday, Christmas – even the most creative person will run dry. Buti nga hindi pa nauso sa amin ang “monthsary”!
This year, Kap had a special project for the month of hearts. A custom-made display cabinet in my dining room to store all my Venetian Glasswares & Silver that’s been collecting dust out in the open. He designed it especially for me & with my specific needs in mind. So well-thought of & unique that’s it’s kinda hard for me to top it, really. This year or any other year for that matter, lol.

Came home a coupl’adays ago to Bong the Builder deep in work on a project in my dining room. I spy with my eyes a customized glass display cabinet -my surprise Valentine cum birthday gift from Kap my Kap! <3 Hopefully finished on time by mid-Feb. So excited for the turnout so I can paaaar-tey!
Kap keeps adding details like a pull-out buffet section spanning the entire width of the cabinet. At the rate we’re going, Bong the Builder will never finish my cabinet in time for my birthday, boo. But with what I can see, it’s worth the wait! 😉

Savory treats: Cherrywood smoked salmon on wheat bread & candied orange lemon | Ham sandwich on sour dough mustard & pickled gherkins | Garden herb cream cheese & cucmber sandwich on rye bread | English cheddar cheese with quince jelly, walnut & cresson.
