Ombre’d

Enrolled ate at my alma mater last week. 😀 Hello college! m/ She had her uniform fitted & her ID picture taken.. She is NOT happy, falahahaha! ;)) At least you had 6 glorious years of civilian clothes, sweetness! -Which put a major dent on my wallet, might I add! ;P

Forced smile for mom haha! :p

So, to pacify her “I look soooooo plain & drab in this uniform, MOM! @_@” complaint, we decided for a pop of color for her hair! 😉 she’s been wanting to get her hair colored for the longest time, anyway. This is her peg..

Definition: The hair world borrowed the term ‘Ombre’ from the french word meaning shaded or shading. Ombre hair color is generally darker at the roots through the mid-shaft and then gradually gets lighter from the mid-shaft to the ends. It is usually achieved using a balayage technique and is ideal for clients looking for a low-maintenance style.

She googled for the best salon that specializes in this technique, but the quotes were sky high! 2,5-3k/process, and ombre takes about 3-4 processes! @_@ So we decided to ask dear old Jeric if he knew the technique. Lucky for us, they do it in his salon! m/ So we booked him on his day off & patiently waited.

The other day, the girls finally got ombre-fied! ;)) Thankfully, my brother allowed us to use his salon. Imagine the nightmare if we had to do it at home & they had to shampoo 4 times –each! @_@

With dear old jeric & his trusty aide, Sandy! 🙂
They also did ate’s prom look.

For the blonde ombre (ate), it takes 4 processes. 1,800 php/process:

1. Bleach from mid-part down. Wash.
2. Bleach from end-part down. Wash.
3. Color mid-part brown. Wash.
4. Then continue coloring tip a different color (blonde). Wash.
Cut..
Blow-dry/Style..
Tada!!! m/
I’m glad ate is pleased. <3
We have to wait 2 weeks for a re-touch to make the ends blonder/lighter.

For the red dip-dye (lavinia), it takes 3 processes. 1,800 php/process:

1. Bleach from mid-part down. Wash.
2. Color caramel mid-part for a smooth transition (black-caramel-red). Wash.
3. Color ends red. Wash.
Transitioning from black-caramel-red.
Cut..
Blow-dry/style
Tada!!!
My baby Lavinia is also very happy with the result! <3

Jeric & his girls.. or 2 girls & a half! ;))

And just look how so very nice it looks under the glaring sun! m/
Ate’s will get even nicer when the ends turn really light blonde.
And Lavinia’s too when the red slowly fades to pink,
& later on blonde like ate’s! <3

When my girls are happy, I’m happy. Never mind that my wallet is ALWAYS empty! ;P Color your world, everyone!!! 😉
