Beauty & Fashion Food & Dining Staycations & Vacations The GOppets

#GOsaka2018 Day 11

Started our day even later today than yesterday. Kahapon, only Kap & I stayed so I could recuperate. Today, ALL five of us stayed until past 2pm. Pati mga bagets napagod sa mga pinag-gagagawa nila, lol. Ayaw na magsipag-tayo.
Kap & Babyson went to the market to buy us lunch. By strict orders, Ate was told to rest in bed until lunchtime, ang tindi ng sipon. Paano kasi, fashion & style before comfort & protection against the elements. Kaya yan, sinipon sa lamig! @_@ She learned her lesson the heard way (as usual) & bought a thick bubble jacket. Now she’s warm & snug as a caterpillar in a cocoon! 😉

Kap & babyson walked & huffed their way to Kuromon Market & bought a variety of foods so we gals can lounge about some more & take our time dressing up. <3 Our heroes.

After a relaxed lunch, we took our time getting to HEP Five, a shopping complex with specialty shops geared for young people. Located at the center of Umeda, the bulk of the building is devoted to clothing stores with B1 to 6F housing fashion floors and shops for sundries; 7F and part of 5F and 6F are restaurants; B2 and 8F and 9F are amusement facilities.
HEP Five (or Hankyu Entertainment Park) takes pride in Kita’s most recognizable symbol: a bright red Ferris wheel on its roof. From an air conditioned gondola at the top of the wheel 106 meters above the ground, you can get a splendid view of downtown, of Osaka harbor, and all the way out to Mount Ikoma.

There’s a taller Ferris wheel at Tempozan Harbor Village, next to Osaka Aquarium. The wheel has a height of 112.5 metres and diameter of 100 metres if you wanna try that too. And an even bigger one located at EXPO CITY, the RED HORSE OSAKA WHEEL. One round of the wheel reportedly takes 18 minutes to complete and tickets are priced at 1,000 yen (US$9.16) per passenger for regular carriages, and 8,000 yen for exclusive use of the four-seater VIP car. But we GOppets stopped at one, lol. One is enough.

This is the main attraction of HEP FIVE. You can board the Ferris wheel from the 7th floor. The 75 meter diameter wheel has 52 four-seater gondolas which take 15 minutes to make one complete circuit. At its highest point it is 106 meters above ground and offers spectacular views over the city all the way to Osaka Harbor.

The fare is 500 yen for a ride, and grade school kids or younger can ride for free. All the gondolas are fully air conditioned and have heating in the winter months. At night the whole wheel is illuminated.

Kap & I have a fear of heights so we tried not to look down from the Ferris wheel, or overthink. Mej mahangin lang that day so our carriage was swinging a bit. Buti nalang mabigat ako kaya nag-steady ng konti hehe. 😛

One carriage only seats 4, so we were forced to ride separately waaaah. I have this morbid obsession of wanting to die together when the unfortunate time comes hehe (coz Ohana -nobody gets left behind right?) which makes me OC to always stick together, especially when flying or riding deathly contraptions. 😛 (Please don’t judge me)

Oh well, at least it gave Kap & me more cuddle time & landian moments without the kids constantly cringing. ;))

Went around the mall a bit since we were already there. Found a soft-serve stall, yaaaay!!

Stumbled upon CHOUXCREAM CHOUXCRI as we were walking around the mall. Chouxcream is a brand specializing in wonderful cream puffs! <3 These popular cream puffs have the chewy exterior that I like, covered in powdered sugar and finished with a yummy, creamy center Tamang-tama for meryenda! A cherry on top of our ice cream soft serves! \m/

Then walk again towards the Umeda Sky Building (梅田スカイビル Umeda Sukai Biru) for a sunset view of Osaka from its Floating Garden Observatory. Umeda Sky Building is the nineteenth-tallest building in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. It consists of two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center.

The tall & modern building features a rooftop observatory as well as an underground market. At the base of the towers is an urban garden with walking trails and water features.

The observation platform of this observatory is a bridge connecting the two towers of the Umeda Sky Building, whose roof features a doughnut shape that provides an unobstructed 360-degree view.

Best to view the metropolis is during the golden hour, just as the sun sets. But why not stay awhile and wait for the dark to envelop the city? The twinkling nightscape is equally fabulous! <3

See? Simply charming. And I’m not just talking about the lit-up city. 😉 Those 1,000 kilowatt smiles from my loves make my heart a-flutter! <3

When we had our fill of the beautiful city, and took a million & one photos to our hearts’ content, we headed home to a promise of home-cooked steak by Kap. I was coughing heavily because of the cold & Ate was also sneezing non-stop, so Kap thought it best for us gals to just go straight home. Ever the knights in shining armors, he, together with our Babyson, went to the market & bought meats to cook.
Nagpakitang gilas ang mahal ko, pwede pala sya itapat sa mga magagaling na Chef! <3 His steak turned out perfect! \m/ Cooked on the outside & red on the inside, malinamnam pa with just a dash of salt & pepper to taste!

What more can. a girl ask for? My man & my meat! 😉

Special shout to my #OTL , Kap my Kap for running around Osaka today to take care of his sick girls. He let us sleep in & went off to buy sushi & sashimi lunch so we can take it easy today. Then he went to the market again come night time to buy meat for our steak dinner -which he cooked & came out really tender & yummy! (Also a call of gratitude to his perennial sidekick –walang iba kung hindi si Babyson. Nate-train na rin sya to be the best possible husband & Dad – pero hindi muna ngayon ha! Not in the foreseeable future, please lang.)
Thank you my Honey for all that you do for us all day err’day. From feeding us, to paying for our purchases, for always taking care of me & even putting on my lipbalm & lotion to protect my chapped lips & dry skin. <3 For giving me more than my fair share of the umbrella so I don’t get wet –kahit na ikaw ang nababasa. And a million & one other things that you do for us out of love. #luckymewifey
You may be naughty, but you’re definitely a petmalung lodi! I love you & I’m so blessed to have you for my husband. :-*
Meanwhile, meron din isangnagpapakitang-gilas” jan sa tabi-tabi. #fakenews at #nagpapanggap lol!

Hay Ate gurl, hintay ka lang, I will embark on my #ProjectVico very very soon, just you wait & see. ;P You need someone like Dad na mapagmahal at mapagsilbi, and who better to suit that need than Councillor Vico Sotto! Matangkad na, Christian na, cutie-patootie pa. AT! Sanay yan sa serbisyo, always able & willing to serve the bayan (and hopefully YOU too) hahaha. ;))

Jana’s IG story (L) vs. my IG story (R) mwahaha! Wagi yung isang manok kong si Charles, pero feel ko, Vico is better-suited for my Nana because he is a public SERVANT!! (For short, sanay magpa-alila tulad ni #OTL ;)) Makahanap nga ng padrino! 😛
