Caught the Travel Bug

Kap has a beautiful dream. A dream of sending our staff abroad so they can also see bits & pieces of the world. Kaso mo, ang problema, yung badget hehe. So we have to do it in parts, hindi pwedeng biglaan at baka hindi na makapag-aral ang mga anak namin!
First batch to go are 2 of the “millenial gurlz” who have made our lives so much easier through the years. They’ve been with us since time immemorial, as in dalaga at binata pa kami ni Kap my Kap. Now finally, and of course only by God’s grace, we can slowly turn our dreams into reality.

Kap would always think of means & ways to show his staff that he values & cares for them. 2 years ago he sent them to Baguio (families included), all expense paid. 3 years ago nag-beach naman overnight ang buong barkada, syempre kasama din ang pamilya. Basta’t may extra money si Kap, kahit gaano man kaliit yan, he generously shares. <3

Last year, sa Cebu itong 2 dalaga pinapunta for some R&R. They were billeted at the Crown Regency Hotel.

This year, we contemplated between sending them to either HK/Macau dahil nagkataong mura ngayon due to the riots, or Bangkok –kaso mainit din. I suggested HK/Macau coz first trips should always be there right? It’s their first time to travel abroad, at parang SOP na ang HK sa mga Pinoy.
So HK & Macau it was. I excitedly booked their accommodation at Ibis Hotel, bought them tickets to Disney & Ngong Ping 360. Got them round trip cotai jet transfers so they can have a day trip to Macau & a hop on hop off open-top bus tour para talagang masuyod nila ang buong Macau. I also mapped out their 5-day itinerary complete with directions & how to get where, riding what. For short, we took care of almost everything pati na konting pocket money to guarantee that they’d have a most enjoyable & memorable trip. <3
At talaga naman naging memorable hahahahaha! Kasi pagtapak palang nila ng Immigration, hinarang na agad ang isa sa kanila! Akala mag-TNT at hindi na babalik ng Pinas. 😛
Such discrimation from our fellow Pinoys, nakakalungkot. Dahil ba hindi mukhang tisay at hindi naka-branded bags ibig sabihin mag-OFW na at mag-TNT sa ibang bansa? Shame on you! This is highly offensive. 🙁
So they were interrogated for more than an hour even though they showed a return ticket home, the complete itinerary, and our exchange of text messages. It pains me to realize na kapwa Pinoy pa ang magdi-discriminate at magpa-powertrip sa kababayan nya. How infuruating!
5 minutes before boarding, they were finally allowed to dash. Photo-finish at halos pagsaraduhan na sila ng gate when they got to board.
Here are some snippets of their time in HK & Macau. I hope that in spite of their initial ordeal, hindi sila na-turn off & they will still look forward to future adventures, God willing.
Next to travel, our yaya of 16 years naman this April, with us hopefully. We are currently processing her passport. Then Ate‘s beloved driver & his wife sana next year pagka-graduate nya (btw, Kap already has a car in mind to give Anderson for his loyal & dedicated service to our panganay).
Heavenly Father, please continue to bless us so that we may also be a blessing to others. <3 Amen.
