Kap & Me My Kids The GOppets

Another Nest

I’ll never get tired of saying it because it’s (bluer than blue, and) truer than true. We are so so lucky to have a daddy like Kap! <3

Some of you who follow me on Instagram are probably wondering why the 2 younger Giblings are furnishing another condo when I posted not so long ago their already furnished nest away from home.

Well, it’s because the condo they’ve been occupying the past 2 years was just a rental along with all the basic furnitures in it -something to use as a halfway home while they waited for their actual unit to be available.

Kap & I invested in a pre-selling condo unit a while back & it’s only now that the edifice is actually built & certified livable. Ish. Sayang nga at hindi na inabot ni Ate since she moved to a whole new location for Med proper. As of this writing, construction is still ongoing and the parking area is still not completed. But little by little, it’s taking shape, and most of the students have already occupied their respective units.

Anyway, their Dad has taken a hands on approach in furnishing their latest condo, just as he does with everything else. We are so fortunate indeed to have a daddy who loves us very much & makes time for his family. <3

.

While waiting our turn for the release & signing over of documents, (chismosa that I am) I was able to speak with other parents loitering around the lobby like us. Most of them had no choice but to buy readily available bunk beds & basic cabinetry from the condo management as they either had no time to fix up their children’s pads, or no resources & contacts. Meanwhile, itong Giblings ko had a small army of construction people headed by their dad at their disposal, ready at a moment’s notice to install their pre-fabricated furnitures & personalize their teeny tiny nest. Syempre naman, haba uli ng hair ko. Iba talagang magmahal ang Kap my Kap ko! #blessup

Tanong pa ng isang magulang upon seeing Kap’s crew on standby: Sir, construction po ba ang negosyo nyo? ;)) Hehehe, hindi po, boyscout kasi ang asawa ko, laging handa. \m/

Kap the engineer. ;)) Dami pang opinion nitong asawa ko while looking over the construction. Honey, wag na nating pakialaman yang buong building, isang maliit na unit lang jan ang atin, lol!

2 weeks before school officially started, we were given the green light to start moving into the new unit. Kap had the foresight of having his favorite carpenter, BONG THE BUILDER, pre-fabricate a bunkbed unit na isasalpak nalang & will be re-assembled on the spot tapos konting finishing nalang.

.

Together with his warriors (a tubero for the water heater, a mason to make a bigger hole for the air-conditioning unit, a karpintero to assemble the bed & drawers, an electrician for the lighting & aircon installation, a pintor to masilya & paint over what we have destroyed, a driver, & an all-around helper to help carry & clean up after – yes, it really does takes a village to raise a child!), we spent a week trying to make the kids’ condo as comfortable, as complete, as homey, and as livable as possible para ang poproblemahin nalang nila sa buhay eh yung pagaaral. Kung hindi pa ba naman sila mag-Dean’s List sa effort naming yan ewan ko na. ;P (Joke, no pressure gaize!)

It was a super busy 2 weeks as we hauled ass from Alabang to Manila daily just to make sure that their tiny nest is completed in time for school.

Sa buong condo, si Bae lang yata ang may peephole & triple lock system that her Dad installed. Trololol. Kung pwede ngang palitan yung pintuan ng mas matibay-tibay, papalitan din sana ni Kap for the safety of his bunso! 😉 Ganyan sya mag-alaga ng pamilya. <3

Every nook & cranny kailangan up to par & Kap-approved. He designed the bunkbed (with a pullout bed pa to accommodate 3 people) himself especially for the Giblings. The stairs serve double duty as drawers too (just like Ate‘s & our back home). And may built-in lights all around, in fairness. Pwede nang i-patent at negosyohin ni Kap ito!

I actually spent a couple of weeks in the condo while the freshie started her stint in College to determine just how livable & complete their tiny apartment is. And I give it my 100% stamp of approval. 😉 Thank you my Honey. For all that you are, and for all that you do for us! #luckymewifey

Stocked up their ref & pantry. If Kap’s language of love is service, mine is feeding them haha. 🙂

It’s a surprise I lasted 2 weeks holed up in this cocoon while waiting for these kiddos. But, tried & tested, mommy-approved.

Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad. <3
