Celebrations & Occasions Food & Dining My Kids The GOppets

The Century Seafood Restaurant. My Babyson’s 18th Birthday

Where do you want to spend your birthday babyson? “Anywhere mom” What do you want to eat for your birthday anak? “Anything mom” Aba, hindi naman pala mahirap pasayahin itong binata ko! Anything & anywhere, pwede sya! 😛

Since my 2 eldest kids had school on a Saturday, we decided to meet up in Manila. After much prodding & prompting, my babyson said he wanted kalapati. Probably to get me off his back lang coz he ate only 1/2 of the order. 😉

Hmnnnn. Kalapati. Chinese food. Manila. The waze in my brain led us to The Century Seafood Restaurant in Century Park Sheraton. It’s been ages since we ate there, binata at dalaga pa yata kami ni Kap. Perfect timing to visit with the giblings in tow.

Because it was a weekend, a Saturday at that, I made a reservation. The place quickly filled up so I thanked my lucky stars for the forethought of calling ahead of time.

I never thought we ordered a lot until one of my mom’s nurses commented during one of our meals “Ma’am, parang laging pyesta po sa inyo“. Nahiya naman tuloy ako hahaha! Halatang matatakaw kami! Madami ba? Sabaw, Baka, baboy, manok, seafood, gulay, pansit & kanin. The usual fare.

Our family is a circle of strength & love. And every crisis faced together makes the circle grow stronger. We have been through ups & downs, yet we remain standing & strong. This is God’s greatest blessing to me. The GOppets. <3

MURPHY’s LAW FOR MOTHERS: 1.) If you wear black, they will have a runny nose. 2.) If you wear white, they will have muddy hands. 3.) If you change their diaper, they will immediately poop in the new one. 4.) If you mop the floor, they will spill something. 5.) If you put on fresh socks, you will immediately step in whatever was spilled. 6.) If it is perfect, they will disarrange it for you. 7.) If you say it, they will contradict it. 8.) If it’s important, they will forget it. 9.) if you’re tired, they will not be. 10.) If you love them, they will see the beauty in it all & love you back forever.

My dear babyson, that is motherhood. Napakatigas ng ulo mo. At napaka-layas mo. And yet, I wouldn’t have you any other way. You are worth all that and more. I will always love you anak. I hope you had a happy birthday! :-*

The last time I ate here was 2010 pa. Hehehe. I remembered the kalapati and the sea cucumbers and all the usual Chinese delicacies.

Most of the sayings nasabi ko na ata sa aking little boy. He’s only 2 but he is very hyperactive. Nakikita ko na how he will be when he grows up. Sakit din ng ulo. Hehehe. Pero tama po kayo na no matter what, they will always be babies in a mother’s eyes.

May he always be healthy, happy and safe and may he always be a doting son to you and a protector to his siblings. God bless po.
