Sweet 16 x Ginzadon

“What do you want for your 16th birthday, Bae?” I asked my youngest child. Initially, I planned on giving the Giblings (Go siblings) a big party for their 16-18-21 joint birthdays (they celebrate 2 weeks apart from October-November). They asked for a short trip over the undas long weekend instead. And I complied. But of course, I can never let a special day pass without my baby opening any presents. The day she was born was a very very special day & it deserves a little fanfare.

And a present I got her. She has been eyeing a Celine Nano Luggage which I find waaaay too expensive for a 16-year old. Not that she doesn’t know how to take care of her things, because she does. She’s really maingat with her personal belongings & takes great responsibility. Wala pa yang nawawala o nasisira na gamit (knock on wood). But, Kap can already buy a car (or two) with that amount. Si Kap ha, hindi ako. So no. Too much too soon.

I got her her second choice though. And it’s perfect for a sweet 16-er, don’t you agree? 🙂

Nauna pa talaga si Lelly maki-usyoso! Akala mo naman sya ang may birthday! 😛

#16. With all the rush & secrecy surrounding this petal scattering thing, nabaliktad ang #1!

Hulidap. <3 My Lovey went to her room the night prior as I was taking a shower & found my surprise meant for the next day. Hay. Sira ang effort!

But I stood firm on having her open her gift the next day pa -her actual birthday. Itong anak ko talaga, manang-mana sa nanay. Masaya pag nakakatanggap ng pera hahaha! 😛 #pocketmoney #shoppingmoney #nomoremoney

For now, she is quite happy with her latest acquisition, a CELINE TRIO. @_@ That is, until the next bag craze, gah! SHMG! As of this writing, she has been hinting on a Chloe Saddle Bag in Ox Blood for Christmas naman. FML.

But tell me, how can I not give in & not fall in love everyday with my baby when she is sweet as sweet can be? For her birthday, she gives ME a gift! And a touching letter I will forever treasure. <3

Sumuko rin sya. Hindi kinaya ng super powers nya ang love affair ko with Fitflops hahahaha! ;))

If you know my baby girl, she is Japanese through & through, so I was actually surprised when she asked to have a Korean lunch for our 1-on-1 date. Because I wanted her celebration to be special even if it was just the 2 of us that day, I took her to Ginzadon in Maxim’s Hotel where she can have the best of both worlds.. Japanese & Korean!

Being next door to the casino, most of the diners were foreigners & high rollers. Kaya pala mahal, para akong tumaya at natalo sa roulette ten times over. 😉

As we were seated waiting for our food to arrive, I asked her why she suddenly craved for Korean. Asus, si Kimchi naman pala ang may sala. So I asked our server for heaps & heaps of Kimchi for our celebrant. In fair, inubos naman nya. Nangamoy kimchi tuloy sya, lol.

For dessert, she requested a Kohe Kanten 125 php. Coffee jelly with generous dollops of Black Sesame Ice Cream 125 php.

When our bill came out, I jokingly told her..

Let’s hit the tables & slot machines at the casino nang makabawi naman! ;)) JOKE.

As her siblings came home late from school, we just took home her favorite Wee Name Kee White Chicken & had a simple dinner at home. Watch the screaming eedjots, mga taga-bundok, takot kaming lahat sa sparklers!

I look at my girls & I often have to stop & thank the good Lord for blessing me with such a happy life. They really are sugar, spice, and all things nice.

But wait. May pahabol pa pala ang pambansang Bae namin. Nag-text sa akin ang bruha bago matulog. Mommy look! <3 <3 <3 For my wall. Aba Bae! Naka-quota ka na ha! 😛

For those of you who are willing to donate! 😛 This unicorn wall decor is available at Pottery barn (PB) Teen in Estancia Mall for 5k, LOL!

Hay naku. Sugar, spice, and all things nice nga. Mamumulubi naman ako sa mga batang ito! Let’s see if Santa is feeling galante this Christmas Bae. Baka sakaling may mabuksan kang regalo. 😉 #LamNa
