Kap & Me My Kids The GOppets

Hello 2016!

I won’t start the year with a resolution. I never follow through anyway. Ningas-kugon lang lagi. I lack the discipline to do it, lol. Instead, I will list my hopes, dreams, and wishes for this new year to look back on in December 2016:

January – January will be so exciting (and at the same time nerve-wracking & tension-filled) because THIS IS IT PANSIT! Renovations for the bedrooms & bathrooms in our new home will finally start. Umpisa na ng away at bangayan, aguy! Kap will be super sungit the whole month through for sure kasi puro gastos na. So there will be some serious belt-tightening this year. KIDS. ARE YOU READY??? Wala munang shopping!

We’re talking about 6 bedrooms that require 6 new air-conditioning units with inverters! Eh meron pang sala & dining. Tapos new refrigerator & freezer plus kitchen equipments, furnitures for the kids’ rooms, individual heaters for the bathrooms. Ang maglipat ay di biroLagot si Kap. Kalbo itong 2016 lol. I foresee kasimangutan 24/7 for 365 days, yikes! :P

Shopping for floor & wall tiles atbp. ANTM lang naman ang peg ng dalaga ko, lol. ;))

February – My birth month! By end of February, and God willing of course, I hope we have already moved into our new abode. It’s gonna take some getting used to, after having lived in our home sweet home & true comfort zone for 18 years. I can roam the grounds with my eyes closed & still know every corner & obstacle. When we finally change residence, if I sleep-walk, gugulong akong pababa sa hagdan, sa labas na ako ng bahay pupulutin! In a way, it’s kinda sad to leave the home that has been witness to so many memories all these years. But it’s also exciting to make new ones -now with my mom (and her entourage) in tow.

Because the kids sleep with us, I asked Kap to make me this bed for them in our bedroom. The lower right nook I’ll make into my writing/blogging space ala office/workstation (yes, tuloy pa rin ang blogging & updates sa buhay GOppets!). The stairs in the middle will have see-through drawers for my little collection of bags. And under their mattresses more drawers for their things. It’ll be pretty tight because the room in the new house is smaller than the current one. But I don’t mind sharing our room with the kids. They’ll be married & out pretty soon, ilang taon nalang ba meron ako.

Heto na, heto na, heto na, hah hah! Doo bidoo bidoo, bidoo bidoo. Ang bilis talagang umaksyon ni Kap! \m/ Our new room is only 2/3 the size of our current one so mej sardines kami. Pero ok lang kasi #happytogether naman!<3

March – Stress levels will run really high again this season. I pray for strength & peace the whole month through. Konting kembot nalang, tapos na ang problem ko. Dear Lord, please be with me & see me through. Wala po sanang glitch. Allow everything to flow smoothly. And assure me that You are in control.

I claim peace & victory in Jesus’ name. Amen. Home run na ha, Lord? :) “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” -Jeremiah 17:7

Bring You through it printable

Amen. Let us always remember, God wants us right in the middle of our mess, because it’s the perfect place for HIM to shine. \m/

April – Time to celebrate my freedom! Hello retirement, totoo na ito -wala nang balikan at recall-recall! :P I pray for God’s wisdom & guidance as He leads me & Kap to new & better things ahead for our family. It’s scary, not knowing what the future holds & brings. But again, also exciting because of fresh starts & new beginnings. I pray that Kap & I will be able to give our children legacy & financial security.

God’s plan for your life far exceeds the circumstances of your day. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.” -Proverbs 3: 5-6

I can face anything for as long as my best friend stands strong beside me. <3

May – I pray that if they haven’t been occupied yet, they would be by now. May God’s sustenance & provisions be upon us in our daily lives. Amen.

Hopefully, many doors & windows of opportunities will be wide open & welcoming for the whole family this 2016. Exciting times ahead!

A house is built with boards & beams, our HOME is built with hopes & dreams. #JanasZenPlace

JuneAte‘s college graduation! The culmination of her 4 years of blood, sweat, and tears in Bio, woohoo! She always pressures herself even though I don’t require anything of her. Nevertheless, I am so very proud of my girl. She now knows Espana & Dapitan like the back of her hands. I pray that God will get her into the college that is best suited for her med-proper. Another 4 years ++ but with her drive & determination, the years will pass like a breeze. I can’t wait to finally call my darling DOCTOR JANA! <3

Sige anak. Gora. Order ka na sa 168! ;))

Long hair don’t care. :) More about my new look on my next post. May mapagtatapos na kami itong taon! Malayo na ang nararating nating magkasama, Kap my Kap!

July – The kids are all out of school for a whole month, yay. Our BIG trip! I am already conditioning Kap that IT WILL HAPPEN. Maiwan siya kung ayaw niyang sumama. But definitely, we are so getting out of the country by hook or by crook! This early, I am already preparing myself for one hecka cheapness in terms of flight & accommodations ahuhuhu. Going abroad is so expensive, baka nga pagbauinin pa kami ni Kap ng sky flakes & spam pang-almusal at meryenda hmp!

Dreaming of Europe. The last time Kap & I went was on our honeymoon. So excited to share this adventure with the kids & show them places we’ve been. <3 ISIS, be kind!

August – The kids will be going back to school, so back to reality for me. This would probably the month of an all-time-low for me, after an all-time high from our (assuming) grand vacation & being constantly with Kap & the kids for a whole month. Will make sure to stock up on happy pills to combat depression, lol! Ate will hopefully be in the Med School of her choice. Her Dad & I are really really rooting for team USTe. But ultimately it’s her decision. She is gunning for ADMU. 5 years in the making. 1 extra year for the required MBA course, which is why I’m hesitant. But hey, it’s her life. She will be the one doing the daily trip & studying so whatever floats her boat & makes her happy, suportahan taka anak. :-*

I trust that God will lead you where you ought to be, Ate.

September – It’s my mom’s 85th birthday. After her health scare, this definitely calls for a BIG celebration! I don’t know if she can already (and still) travel by this time. I’m hoping she can, maybe a short but meaningful cruise is in order for her & all the apos in the not so distant future to celebrate her life & health.

Second wind. New lease on life. <3 “Today I close the door to the past, and open the door to the future. Take a deep breath, step on through, and stet a new chapter in my life.”

Thankful & blessed to have been able to spend another christmas with my mom whose health has, by God’s grace, amazingly improved in bounds & leaps. <3

October – Celebrating TWO birthdays this month. It’s my baby girl’s 17th birthday. We HAVE to start planning na for her debut! My darling -who is now on her senior year in high school & will be applying to colleges na, is no longer a baby. Next year 3 na ang college kids ko ahuhuhu! And Kap.. well, just like me, he’s growing O-L-D-er hehe. We’re the same age so I’m not gonna say JUST HOW OLD.

Homaygas. Hindi na magpapapigil ang pagdadalaga ni bunso! Whereas before she would ask for toys, and later on clothes & shoes when we go shopping. Ngayon make-up at pabango na!!! @_@ Mas kiriray pa kay Ate ahuhuhu!

Older. But still as kulit & as playful as ever. Parang hindi tumatanda si Kap my Kap! :P And I fall deeper & deeper in love with him with each passing year.

November – Celebrating TWO more birthdays this month!

Life is like a book. Each day a new page with adventures to experience, lessons to learn, and good deeds to make. Have a most colorful page, giblings! <3

December – I hope that 2016 will be an even better year. That all of my loved ones are safe, and healthy, and happy. My biggest fear is losing a loved one. I already have everything I could ever want. I just pray for safety & good health for me & those I hold dear in my heart. No deadly illnesses or incurable diseases please. The rest I can take.

Christmas isn’t about candy canes, or lights all aglow. It’s the hearts that we touch, and the care that we show. <3

So excited to look back this time next year & see which wishes & dreams came true! Hopefully, ALL. ;) Here’s to a fruitful year ahead to everyone! May God’s blessings be upon us all 365 days of the year. Happy New Year! \m/

This photo belongs to DZRH. (Feb 8) 2016 is the year of the Red Fire Monkey. And the monkey is Kap’s chinese zodiac sign, so hopefully, this year will be even more fruitful for the GOppets! \m/ CLICK HERE for the chinese prediction for roosters like me in the year 2016.

*suggestion lang re sa heater, bakit po hindi na lang isang big heater for the whole house? We used to have that here in our house. Pati sa kitchen may hot water din.
