Food & Dining My Kids

Tus’ Clay Pots and Skillets Restaurant

A day before the 2 kids were to go back to school, I took them to dinner at Ate’s latest discovery, Tus’ Clay Pots and Skillets Restaurant in Westgate, Alabang. For you Southerners, this is where Carvery used to stand.

Tus’ which means YOURS, specializes in modern European dishes by Chef KRSNA ALGENIO & MARICAR SASON, very young & very driven partners of this Clay Pots & Skillets restaurant.

The thing with having girls is, they always find the opportunity for photo shoots! ;)) Especially when they find nice walls as background…

When did you start becoming a little lady, my Baby??? :'( Don’t grow up too fast please?

My 2 older kids already dined here after a workout sesh so they knew what to order the 2nd time around. I was only too happy to comply.

We started off with a refreshing pitcher of Pineapple Float 390 php. I love that the owners are young and like to experiment & have fun with their food & drinks. My first time to try a pineapple float. And I liked it. <3

Make sure you stir until the vanilla ice cream melts into your drink for an added flavor.

Complimentary bread. We were so famished that we begged for more of this warm, chewy, garlicky goodness. Our server was so nice to keep replenishing it. :)

DSC03680

Poutine 190 php. Potato fries loaded with cheese & gravy. Yummy mess!

DSC03681

My little dalagita, who has been on a summer health & fitness regimen with her older siblings, gave it to this wonderful mess & declared that one day as her cheat day. Well-deserved too, I must say. She’s been working hard all summer long & it shows. <3

My favorite of the bunch, this Wet Burrito 370 php. A happy burst of exotic mexican flavors. Those giant jalapeno sure added an extra oomph!

DSC03688

Biggest Calzone I’ve seen in my life! Meatball Calzone 460 php. Good for 4 actually.

DSC03690

Warm & cheesy, the way we like it. Fresh from the oven.

DSC03687

Just so you see how really BIG it is! <3 Me so happy, it’s so yummy!

DSC03685

Chicken Ranch Pot Pie 360 php. Everything we ordered was swimming in hot, stringy cheese. Now that’s pure love!

DSC03699

Medium well Spicy Lemon Pesto Steak 680 php. Again, I love how the owners are so adventurous with the flavors. This is definitely not your regular, ordinary steak. And the size was pretty big for the price too. It being juicy, tender & flavorful doesn’t hurt one bit.

Can you tell that he was very happy with his steak? He couldn’t wait for mom to take his picture & already started ahead with a corner! Famished boy! @_@

DSC03706

Half-baked cookie 160 php. They sure weren’t kidding when they say it’s half baked. The soft chewy chocolatey center can make anyone’s heart melt.

DSC04585

Churros con Tsokolate 120 php. Crispy on the outside, soft & chewy on the inside. <3

DSC04587

Crema Catalana 140 php.

Even Ate gave in to this chocolatey goodness!

I’m so happy that Ate found a gem just a stone’s throw away from our home. Comfort food just got redefined with Tus! I couldn’t stop raving about the food that the shy & petite owner who was seated quietly at the table in front of us came & introduced herself. She probably couldn’t bear the moaning noises I was making with each bite anymore, lels! :P

With new mother, Maricar Sason. The other half of Tus. :)

Tus, you just found your #1 fan! Expect to see my face in the days to come! <3 You might wanna set up a special table for me away from your customers lest they hear more moans & grunts from me. ;P

When I went back with the fambam (and you know I don’t go back to the same resto twice if I can help it), Chef KRSNA ALGENIO was there so I had the pleasure of meeting her acquaintance as well. :)
