The Crimson Hotel Series: Staycation

Just fresh from a Mexican Festival Dinner (Sabores de Mexico) with my KTG foodie group, I was delighted to once again have been invited to try the dishes I wasn’t able to have the previous night as the spread was really overflowing, and overwhelming!

But first, our Staycation! <3 Being a family of 5, it is always a treat getting a suite so we could all fit in nicely & comfortably. It’s a given that the kids are always part of the staycations and/or vacations. OHANA and all. ;)

Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind — or forgotten.

But to get a TWO-BEDROOM JUNIOR SUITE on the Executive Floor really tops them all. And I am so thankful to the General Manager Saurabh Kukreja, Marketing Communications Manager Twinkle Lacsamana, Public Relations Officer Karina Leal, and to the entire staff of Crimson Hotel for this wonderful surprise accommodation. The GOppets were definitely ecstatic! <3

Checking in was easy-peasy. Everything was handled professionally & with amazing speed. For all guests, a refundable deposit of 2,000.00 php is required for incidentals. You may pay in cash or through credit card.

Our kids love having adventures, even if it’s just staycations. <3

A 2-bedroom Junior Suite has a rate of only 9,600.00/night. Good for 4 adults & 2 children below 11 WITH BREAKFAST at Cafe 8. It comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, a well-stocked bar, a living & small dining area, 2 bedrooms with individual toilet & rain shower with toiletries & slippers, 3 wall-mounted flat screen tv (no fighting over the remote, yay!). AND! It comes with 24-hour beverages at the Executive Lounge on the 28th floor with COCKTAILS everyday from 5-7 PM, and Continental breakfast from 6-10:30 AM. Inclusive with your room. Parking is also FREE. Same goes for high-speed WiFi throughout the hotel.

living room

The sofa is wide & long enough to be used as a day bed, so my babyson parked himself here. Every room has a television so he was a happy camper.

Kap & I felt like honeymooners, having the room to ourselves. Because we had connecting doors, we didn’t miss the kids too much. The door allowed the level of privacy we required. :P

Meanwhile, our ladies stayed at the guest bedroom of the suite & enjoyed a girly bonding time. I’m so blessed that they get along so well & are each other’s best friend in spite of the 5 year difference.

Both rooms had a toilet & shower. No bathtub, but having one at home & not using it anyway, the tubs weren’t sorely missed.

Boys & their toys! @_@ My babyson made sure he brought his PS4 with him & played half the night. Something that he missed doing ever since school started. Having the living room all to himself proved to be useful. :)

I must say, everything I could ever need at a sleepover, Crimson Hotel has answered. The first thing I require at Staycations is a bidet. Especially during those “delicate & messy” months. Next is the clothesline because sometimes the kids swim, and this is so useful in hanging their swimsuits to partially dry before packing so the clothes don’t drip. The washer & dryer were bonuses we didn’t expect! <3

For guests, paying for a little extra will never be more enjoyable, or convenient. For an upgrade to an Executive Suite, you get an all-day access to the Executive Lounge..

The kids & I enjoyed chilling at the Executive lounge as much as our room. Well, more so at the lounge since we were able to snack & drink all we wanted. :P it’s just like home!

So many beverage choices!

Because the internet at the hotel was fast, I was able to write some blogposts while the kids downloaded series & songs in their laptops.

Ate also used the time to study while snacking of fruits & nuts. Spell G-E-E-K. ;)) kidding!!

From 5-7 PM, the executive lounge has pre-dinner cocktails for guests on the executive floor to enjoy. If you’re a light eater, this can actually serve as a full meal.

This cheese assortment was hands down my favorite among the lot.

Cheese, cheese, and more cheese! <3 And these went so well too with the white wine. I was very very happy.. and relaxed! ;)

Can you tell I had a jolly good cocktail hour?; ))

My mom ‘s birthday coincided with our Staycation, so I was very happy to include her in our dinner plans. It’s not often that she gets to join us so this was an extra treat, having her with us. <3

Thank you so much CRIMSON HOTEL for this beautiful chocolate birthday cake. <3

My mom turned 82 but she’s still as spritely & active. I pray that God will grant her more healthy & happy years with us & that she gets to see her great grandchildren too. In the far, far, FAR distance! ;P

My mom is so hardworking & ever busy that having her with us is time treasured.

I don’t know with yours, but with MY kids, a staycation is never a staycation until they’ve explored every nook & cranny of the hotel. And here is what they have discovered. The Gym.. and the beautiful, serene Swimming Pool!

Because they eat, as in EAT at staycations, the kids make it a point to take advantage of the gym. An the gym, although a bit on the wall side, boasts of modern & complete equipments.

The 2 days we were at Crimson, the weather wasn’t cooperating so the kids didn’t get to use the pool. Too bad because it really looked inviting.

Family time means donning your silly hats & leaving your worries behind.

It always breaks our heart leaving after a fun-filled & relaxing time. Staycations are the best when it comes to family bonding. It’s something I would recommend to every family who don’t have time for a full-blown vacation. Just make sure you deposit your phones at the reception when you check in. If you get my drift. ;)

. .

Thank you so much CRIMSON HOTEL for such a fabulous staycation! But wait! I still have our BREAKFAST post. That’s for tomorrow! ;)
