I’ve been feeling melancholy & yes, somewhat depressed coz my Hunnybun has been so very busy left & right with the Petron seminar & the Team Alagaan party list for the barangay. I swear, I only get to see him 10 minutes in a day & he’s off rushing somewhere else for his next commitment. Daig pa nya ang artista at Mayor ha. OA! :(
Just a few more days & my outlook will be happier. Konting tiis nalang.
Last Friday, I was really really feeling down coz Kap left really early (5am-ish) since their group will be going to Bataan for an excursion to the gasoline plant & I didn’t get to see him before he left. He also came home late the night prior coz of class overtime grrrr so I was teary-eyed. It didn’t help that my period was on its onset (sorry hehe, TMI).
I begged my Lovey to stay home with me. I know I’m being a bad mommy but I really really needed her so I was selfish for a day. She was already dressed for school but seeing my demeanor, she immediately hugged me & changed to regular clothes so she can amuse me for the day. :)
And to reward her for her sacrifice, I took her to Wildflour because it’s where she really really wanted daw. There, and Early Bird Breakfast (but I didn’t know how to get there & neither did she haha).
After some missed turns, we finally got there. However, parking posed to be a HUGE problem. We were shooed from one place to another that after 3 attempts at various nearby garages, we finally got irked & vowed never to go there ever.. AGAIN! ;P (we shall see if we hold up to our promise this time) No really, you NEED to have a driver if you want to get to eat in Wildflour at all.
We went to SM Aura instead to have some items exchanged. I bought some pasalubong for the kids after Ria’s birthday blowout (see previous post), but it turns out the clothes I chose didn’t sit well with my babyson’s taste. Aack. @_@ So we just had them exchanged for the exact same plain black school shoes –siguro naman that’s safe enough! Look at the state of his old shoes, and he never pipped a squeak. Hindi talaga siya mahilig magpabili. Why you no tell me lah, babyson???
Did you know that in Topman/Topshop, you cannot exchange items in just any store? You can only exchange them in the PARTICULAR store that you purchased the items in. My gulay, what a hassle! I really need to stop buying the kids clothes. I always need to have them exchanged coz its either too big, or too small, or the wrong color, or the wrong print, or worse -not their style. Bahala na nga sila sa buhay nila. :P
And good news! Most of the restaurants in the 5th floor are finally open! m/ We looked around & settled for a Thai restaurant since my Lovey liked shrimp cakes. We should have felt the bad vibe as soon as we went in & turned around right away.
First off, nobody opened the door for us or even greeted us, which is the usual custom right? And it’s not that they’re full.. LOOK!
Tamarind SM Aura Premier
Then, nobody attended to us. I kept raising my hand to call the attention of several servers but it’s like we were invisible. The manager saw us but was busy talking on the phone, loudly I might add. I don’t know why we just didn’t get up right there & then. It was a sign, I’m telling you.
And when we finally had our lunch orders on our table, they were the WORST thai food we have ever eaten in our entire lives. I swear. The “duck” was a malnourished itik & I almost choked on all the tiny little bones. The tea tasted like graba (not that I’ve tasted graba ha!). Again, WORST LUNCH EVER. I think this is God’s way of telling me not to pull out my daughter from school unnecessarily haha.
I felt really bad coz I wanted our day to count, having taken her away from school & all. First, we couldn’t get a parking for Wildflour, then this.
To make up for our bad lunch, I took her pre-birthday shopping & dessert hunting. That’s up next! ;)
