Kumori Japanese Bakery

I love getting nice surprises, don’t you? A couple of weeks ago, my friend Bobby Vallar of The RELISH Group of companies (Wee Nam Kee, Osaka Ohsho, now Kumori) sent me a care package from Kumori Japanese Bakery. And so timely too coz I had so many big girls & little girls in the house that I was panicking on what to give them for meryenda!

Always thankful for showers of blessing, big or small. Hard or in this case, very very soft. And yummy too! <3

Kap was teasing me that since I’m getting pangkabuhayan showcase in the mail we can open na daw a sari-sari store. Imagine that, a home-front store in AAV! :P Hindi na aabot. Ubos agad sa sarap at linamnam!

Kumori Japanese Bakery is now baking in the Philippines in their two (2) branch locations: the basement level of Landmark Makati and the basement level of SM Makati.

Kumori Japanese Bakery offers only handmade, fresh, and quality breads, cakes & pastries imbued with true Japanese quality, culture, and tradition. Their belief is that the best bread is made from the best ingredients, so Kumori Japanese Bakery uses only the finest ingredients from Japan, giving its breads unique flavors & textures. No artificial additives and preservatives are used, so it’s best to consume all breads within 2 days of purchase.

Probably my favorite of the lot, this Signature Hanjuku Cheese. A half-baked Japanese style cheesecake with a rich & moist cream cheese center available in original & chocolate flavors. You simply must try it to believe it. <3

Soft Matcha Bun. Luscious soft bread of soft bun with a Matcha cream filling sprinkled with snow sugar powder and Japanese Matcha green tea powder. Not a fan of matcha but the bread was ridiculously soft (I had to give it a little squeeze!) . I’m glad my Lovey’s friends have cultured taste so they liked this matcha bun.

Salmon Bonito. Now this I think is a truly ingenious Japanese baking innovation. A soft bun filled with a savory salmon filling drizzled with homemade teriyaki sauce then sprinkled with smoked bonito flakes.

And who doesn’t like Croissant? An iconic French bread enjoying equal footing as the baguette, Kumori Japanese Bakery’s version of the Croissant stays true to its’ European origins: flaky layered Danish pastry enriched with pure, premium European butter.

Another favorite of mine is this Fuwa-Fuwa Cream Bun. (They actually had me at Fuwa Fuwa!) This will amaze you with its interplay of tastes & textures: creamy egg custard filled delicate hand crafted soft bread dusted with snow sugar powder.

Kumo means cloud in Japanese, Kumori Japanese Bakery invites everybody to #BiteIntoClouds (uso talaga ngayon ang clouds noh?) as they indulge in the wide selection of soft & fluffy breads & pastries.

Anyway, since I’m bringing to you The RELISH group’s delicious tiny bites, here’s a little “Thank You” from from Kumori Japanese Bakery‘s big sister for your continued support & patronage as well! :)
