I was reading a newspaper (yes I occasionally read newspapers when I’m at my mom’s & I have nothing else to do. She doesn’t have INTERNET! @_@) when I suddenly chanced upon this..

In this spin on the fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel are now bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. As the fabled Blood Moon approaches, the siblings encounter a new form of evil that might hold a secret to their past.
I mean who would not want to watch this??? A fond childhood memory. Who doesn’t know Hansel & Gretel, right?
Even as a child I loved to read, and I’m so grateful my mom provided me with plenty of books to amuse myself with.
She would buy me boxes & boxes of complete series from vendors who knocked on her door. :)
I grew up to fairy tales such as Hansel & Gretel. My heroes! <3

So I arranged for a movie night yesterday. And since I’m so in love with BF in paranaque lately, I wanted to give SONGKRAN a try. Yup, thai cuisine this time. I read it from a book that a mommy friend gave me as an advance birthday gift. For the complete Songkran food & price list, click HERE.

Read Daphne Osena’s short post on EAT OUT NOW here. 250 php at all National Book Store branches nationwide.
Like all food bloggers, Alicia Siy has some hits & misses.
Different tastes for different folks. But I’m having fun trying out her recommendations one at a time.
One good thing about eating in restaurants in BF is their price is slashed off by at least half -or okay a third, than if we were to dine in the mall. And it’s not as crowded too especially on a Friday night. Parking in the mall alone is a killer! @_@

See? Only 1 car when we arrived. ;P
Credit cards accepted! m/

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Songkran is a term derived from the Sanskrit saṅkrānti (or, more specifically, meṣa saṅkrānti). It may refer to the traditional New Year celebrated in several Southeast Asian countries when the sun transits the constellation of Aries, the first astrological sign in the Zodiac, as reckoned by sidereal astrology.

This is actually an upgrade than what I was imagining it to be.
A blog I read said it was a house converted by a Thai national into a restaurant, so imagine my delight to see this structure instead of a dilapidated, outdated house! m/
Outdoor seating. I loved the mural -so colorful!
But I also hate mosquitoes.
So no brainer -indoor dining for me! ;))
Indoor seating. Nice, clean & SPACIOUS just the way I like it.
A quiet, relaxed dinner. <3
Of course, empty could also mean their food sucks hehe.
But having a Thai national as the owner, what could possibly go wrong, right? ;)
So with half of the Buensalida contingent (the other half had things to do), we braved the friday traffic in BF Paranaque & hoped for the best. And I’m just so glad we did, coz I loved everything we had on the menu!
Anything THAI will never go wrong in my book.
Give me any combination of chili & sour and I’m good to go! m/
Their prices were pretty okay too. Nothing above 270 php (save for 1 beef dish). Yahoo! ;)
Our bill was just 2k! m/
Condiments & spices.
But all my dishes were already bursting with such flavors that I didn’t need these at all. :)

ItemTapioca in Pandan Cups 90 php
Soooo good! Just the right amount of sweetness to take away the suya from over eating haha! ;)

All smiling faces & so attentive.
Most definitely a PLUS point in my book! m/
So, whenever we eat out with another family, multiply our orders by TWO (or three.. or four! LOL).
Because that’s how much we love to EAT!
And boy am I glad to have found people who love the same things we do! ;)
Oh, and the movie? It was The BOMB! Do watch it, promise you it will keep you on the edge of your seats. This is no fairy tale, people! ;)
