SM By The BAY

I love the holidaze! The kids don’t have school & we can spend as much time out as we can with no curfew. I always look forward to school breaks & make sure that I leave my days free -void of any ganap that doesn’t involve them. I truly enjoy their company the most, and as you well know, they are my barkada in every sense of the word.

Due to the sizeable crowd & the heavy traffic, we try to limit our gimmicks to movies & dining out. But sometimes, it’s also nice to breathe in the fresh air and be one with nature, catch a glimpse of the sea without getting all sweaty, dirty, and wet! :P

Because Kap is a busy man, we can’t really venture too far out. So SM by the BAY is literally a breath of fresh air. And since I am a city girl by heart, I get to enjoy a bit of nature but with every modern amenity within my reach. Win-win! ;)

SM by the BAY is a beautiful leisure destination along Seaside Blvd. across SM Mall of Asia facing the breathtaking scenery of Manila Bay.

Kap made sure we reached SM by the BAY just before sunset. There’s something beautiful & magical about it that makes you sigh in awe of God’s magnificent creation. Every. Single. Time.

And what better way to capture the moment than with those dearest to my heart. <3 Sure, we get to see the sunset in our own backyard but nothing beats sunset over water. The sea glistens with a multitude of colors, sparkling like diamonds. <3

SM by the BAY is most beautiful at night with all these brilliant colors. The area is SO alive, brimming with people full of Christmas spirit & holiday cheer. SM by the BAY is 1.5 KM entertainment complex that brings exciting rides for all members of the family like the MOA Eye (Giant Ferris Wheel), carousel, bumper boats, trains, slide, jumping castle and more!

I just love family bonding moments. With money a little tight after spending for a multitude of Christmas gifts this season, who says you have to spend a lot to have fun? ;) There’s always something for everyone at SM by the BAY.

SM by the BAY has more than a dozen dining choices from buffets to casual restaurants and is home to some of the biggest buffet restaurants in the country. But since Kap & I had the chance of dining at BANZAI once (CLICK HERE) and truly enjoyed its fare -with the kids being Japanese at heart, we thought of taking them there too so they can also enjoy its extensive Japanese buffet spread.

After a leisurely stroll, we went to Banzai for a hearty dinner. As you well know, the GOppets & buffet, we go well together! ;P

Kids grow up so fast. It’s moments like this that I take a mental photo and store in my treasure trove of memories. I am SO blessed to have a close-knit family with members who love & care for each other openly. My most precious gift -seeing the kids like this. <3

BANZAI is an all-you-can-eat Asian buffet with an assortment of Japanese themed food located at the South Side of SM by the BAY near the MOA Eye (Giant Ferris Wheel).

In all the Japanese-themed buffet in the Philippines that we have gone to & eaten at, I can say in all honesty that BANZAI has the most extensive Japanese food selection. Clockwise from top: Assorted sushi, Seafood teppan, Ebi tempura, Katsu, Japanese pizza, and Beef teppan.  Monday-Friday Lunch 699 | Monday-Friday Dinner 899 | Saturday/Sunday 1088 | Kids 499. Come one, come all!

Kap is still hungry that he wants to eat me! :P

But knowing the Filipino’s penchance for other fares, Banzai has thoughtfully included 3 non-Japanese stations like Balboa which offers Pizza & Pasta. Dekada for Filipino dishes. And the chinese roasting station.

Some of the pasta & pizza dishes from Balboa that we tried.

Banzai is not only a restaurant, but a source of entertainment as well! ;)) There was a 15-minute show that kept us entertained while we dined. I believe the cast comes out every hour from 7:30 up. Do watch out for that! \m/

Even though they don’t talk, staying in character, they will pose with you for a souvenir shot if you ask nicely. :)

Plus! After dinner, the kids got to dress up too! Look at how much fun we all had. Them dressing up, and me taking lots & lots of photos! <3 Si Kap? Well, he was on his 4th plate & couldn’t be bothered! :P

My silly & game little BANZAI‘s! The #GOppets Thank you kiddos for always lighting up my life with love & laughter! Whatever will I do without you?

Since we were already at SM by the BAY, we took the liberty of going around to walk off the bulging bump in our bellies (that has grown bigger as the festive holidays came!) before heading home. Might as well make the most of our visit. It’s not often that we get to venture away from our comfort zone. Besides, the night was still young.

Guess where our feet took us! Kap loves chilling to music as a form of relaxation so when he heard a band playing some blues, his eyes lit up & there was no talking him out of it. We are really blessed with kids who don’t mind hanging with their parents and are genuinely happy to go wherever we take them. No questions asked. <3

The Roadhouse Manila

SM by the BAY, Bldg. J, Seaside Blvd., SM MOA Complex, Pasay (02) 836-7382

The Roadhouse is the home of Blues, Bikes, Rock and Booze in Manila! So to be honest, I was surprised to find the kids enjoying themselves. I wasn’t really sure that Rock & grunge was their cup of tea but I think they were just happy that their folks were enjoying the blues.. and the booze. While they happily munched away on the yummy bar chow while taking it all in. Another new experience tucked under their belts.

69 Proof at its element rockin’ the night away with their blooze.

We’re really so blessed that even at their age, the kids still wanna hang with their parents! <3 And they seem to enjoy it too! <3 It really doesn’t matter where we take them, they are always full of smiles & laughter. God must really REALLY love me to have blessed me with such angels!
