Food & Dining My Kids

Scout’s Honor Craft Cookies

Ate’s ONE MONTH sembreak has officially started! Yiheeeee. She can rest & lie low for 1 whole month & not worry about anything. I also get to take a break from constantly worrying about her daily commute. It’s gonna be a peaceful December I can tell, and I’m already feeling the Christmas spirit now that she’s gonna be spending her days with me! Happiness! <3

To celebrate the end of her gruesome 1st sem and nights of endless studying & memorization, we went to HOLE IN THE WALL, declared the other day a cheat day, and decided we will order one meal from each featured resto to start off our nakakalokang food trip. I was really excited to try the REUBEN SANDWICH from Mr. Delicious.

Si Mr. Delicious. :P #braggingrights #fansinanay

Hole in the Wall is not your ordinary food court. It’s a FOOD HALL. And I love the layout & comfy seats placed strategically across the area making for a homey, relaxed feel. The structure is somewhat masculine with the exposed beams & heavy steel, but at the same time ladies will still feel welcome because of the earth tones & topiary accents and certainly enjoy the luxurious wingback chairs & couches strewn across.

Unfortunately, HITW restos open only from 5 pm up. Still. The last time we went only Green Cheese was operational. We thought that by now all the restos would be ready for the lunch crowd, gah! @_@

The list of shops are not exactly extensive. My girls got their rounds done in under an hour. And since all 4 cinemas were showing the same thing -which we unfortunately already watched the day prior, we didn’t have anything else to do for the 5-hour wait so we decided to just save dinner for yet another day.

Good that SCOUT’s HONOR CRAFT COOKIES was open since it was top on Ate’s MUST TRY list. And luck of all lucks, the young & talented Chef MIKO ASPIRAS was there! I was exited to meet Chef Miko at the Pepita’s Degustacion event (yesterday’s post) but he got waylaid so he didn’t get to make it. Lucky me that he happened to be in his cafe when visited.

Pretty AND yummy. Deadly combo! I was at a loss & couldn’t decide which ones to get! @_@

There are ready-made freshly-baked cookies for immediate consumption, but what sets SCOUT’s HONOR Craft Cookies apart from the rest is their DIY cookies. Sure, it takes a while to bake (8-10 minutes), but what could be better than your own version of hot, fresh from the oven chewy cookie right? So that’s exactly what my girls had. At least there were no lines because we came at lunchtime so 8 minutes passed by in  a breeze.

The choices are endless!

Fresh from the oven DIY cookies for my girls. Voila! <3

Ate’s DOUBLE CHOCOLATE FUDGE cookie with lots & lots of toppings.

And my Lovey’s BASIC CHEWY COOKIE, also with heaps of toppings.

Got milk? ;) C’mon, what is cookie without milk right? And hey, they use FOG CITY CREAMERY ICE CREAM! Artisanal over artisanal! That’s it. I’m in love! <3

My Lovey’s Oreo & Ate’s Black Sesame.

Mapapapikit ka talaga sa sarap! ;)

But since I don’t like milk.. photo-op nalang! :P

I did, however, go for the Cappuccino. My dose of coffee monday! <3 Went well with the Thin Mints (double choco fudge cookie & mint buttercream) 100 php..

and the Cookie Inception (oreo, double chocolater fudge & choco chip) 100 php. SHHHHHH!!! :P

Did I say that Hole In The Wall is pretty? Yep, every nook & cranny is Instagram worthy. Ayan, ang dakilang Ate, stylist/photographer ni bunso! :P

What they do best! :P

Thinking of what to get me for Christmas? AN ASSORTMENT PLEASE! ;))

But I’d also be perfectly happy if you add the cookie cakes. ‘Tis the season to be merry, after all. ;)

No to the matcha please though. never did like the thing.

The time sucks. But definitely worth a visit, I promise. Scout’s honor!
