Of Fathers & Sons

We will never tire of roast beef. Never. So that’s what we had for lunch. Again! ;) And potato salad. <3 So I won’t post a picture of our lunch any more since you’re probably sick and tired of our repeats, haha!

Teared up in church today. The video clip that pastor Joby showed us tugged the hearts of even the toughest (yes, the men!), that almost everyone had tears rolling down their faces haha! ;P The topic today was Experiencing Intimacy with God. And the video clip showed a father’s love in the midst of pain. Just like how God loves us & supports us in spite of trials & tribulations. God is like that.. when we are hurting & fighting to finish, He comes & helps us.

Click HERE to see the video clip of Derek Redmond & let his story touch your life. Have a nice week ahead, everyone! :-*

Derek Anthony Redmond (born 3 September 1965, in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, England) is a retired British athlete. During his career, he held the British record for the 400 metres sprint, and won gold medals in the 4×400 metres relay at the World Championships, European Championships and Commonwealth Games.
However his career was blighted by a series of injuries, and he is best remembered for his performance at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona where he tore his hamstring in the 400 metres semi-final but fought through the pain and, with assistance from his father, JIM, managed to complete a full lap of the track as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. The incident has become a well-remembered moment in Olympic history.
