The GOppets have been invited twice to dine at Oakwood Premier Manila but never to stay. This is our first time to check in. It’s a happy coincidence that Richard & family were also billeted on the same weekend we were, so double the saya!
Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila sits in the heart of the prime business and commercial district of Ortigas. It is 30 minutes from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Manila Domestic Airpot, and an easy 15-minute drive to the central business district of Makati. Located right across the Asian Development Bank, the property is also close to the Philippine Stock Exchange, major corporate headquarters, shopping centers, restaurants and other leisure establishments.
To fit our family of 5, Oakwood Premier Manila graciously gave us a 1-bedroom suite to occupy for the weekend. Rate is more or less as follows, depending on the season..
Studio Executive 41 sq.m.
PHP 5,000 nett (room only)
PHP 5,700 nett (with buffet breakfast for two)
We checked in pretty quickly. You need to pay a 2,000.00 php deposit which is refundable.. provided you don’t break anything! :P
Shuttle services are provided but I find it more convenient to bring your own car so you can leave at any time & not wait for the shuttle to pick you up. You can always get a complimentary parking ticket from the concierge if that’s what you’re worried about.
The mandatory elevator shot. No one can escape it. NO ONE! :P

I like that the floors aren’t carpeted. We 3 girls have asthma so the less carpet for us, the better. And even the hallways are nice.
Oakwood Premier Manila is all about warmth & comfort. Wood paneling & heavy furnitures. So you won’t find modern furnishing anywhere. Modern amenities, yes. I felt right at home with the familiar surroundings as the decor in our home is similar.
We were also pleasantly surprised to find a dish washer, a washing machine, and a big refrigerator. Oakwood Premier Manila is really best for extended stays as it offers all the comfort of your own home sweet home.
Oakwood Premier Manila‘s PR & Marketing princess Aleah Alam so graciously requested for 3 extra beds for us as the suites come with single King beds only. The room was very spacious & was able to accommodate 2 extra beds for the girls.
My babyson set up his PS4 & parked his tush there the whole afternoon. :| As you can see, 3 beds have been placed & we still had lots of room left.
While Kap my Kap watched in the other room. Ano ba yan! Walang pinagkaiba sa bahay! Boys!
For the adventurous, you may opt to keep the blinds from the bathroom to the bedroom open ala 50-shades of grey. But for the shy (like me), *wink* don’t worry. It closes! I appreciate that there is a separate tub & shower, and the bathroom was also so spacious! At Oakwood Premier Manila, they don’t scrimp on space.
Like other hotels, toiletries are provided for. You may call & ask for more (at no extra charge) as the need arises.
The pool is indoors, perfect for those who don’t want a sunburn. Or the sun. :P
There is a SPA below..
and a Fitness Center for the health buffs. Like you know who. ;)
Do you got a Bey.. or nah. ;)) My Lovey has lost considerable weight due to the influence of her fitspiration –si Ate.
After exploring the hotel, we were pleased to see a cheese platter & bottle of red wine waiting for us back in the room. And the rest of the meal followed suit. Oakwood Premier Manila now has PLATTERS TO GO. Pocket-friendly & family-style meals perfect for big families. Now guests don’t need to go out of the hotel to eat, finding the in-house restaurant rates a bit steep. They can simply place their orders & eat in-room without having to shell out so much during a staycation.
Ate & I enjoyed the cheese & wine while the boys ignored us & did their own thing. My Lovey kept us company & entertained with her many stories. She is such an aliw girl, I swear. :)
Thank you Oakwood Premier Manila & Aleah Alam for your thoughtfulness! <3
Baby Back Ribs Pork Adobo. This fall off the bone tender pork ribs simmered in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic and cracked peppercorn is so good that we could’t wait for dinner time & attacked it right away! <3 Perfect with that white rice.
Oh yes. That’s hella lots of chicharon toppings you see on the pizza! The kids LOVED this while I munched on the less sinful Pizza Margherita.
That halo-halo is HUGE! Ate was able to divide it into 5 so we all got a taste. I think I was too excited though. See Ate blotting away food stains from my white top. :)) She takes such great care of me. <3
Richard, Irene, and Lauren also got their PLATTERS TO GO delivered to their room. If you can spot Lauren, you can see that she has also camped on the desk with her iPad & didn’t want to budge even an inch. So the food delivery was most welcome by both families! ;)
Pita sandwiches & Tikka Masala.
Your hotel stay can come with or without breakfast. Breakfast buffet at Oakwood Premier Manila‘s is at 1,248 php nett/person.
That Sunday there were plenty of curry dishes going on, along with the regular breakfast staples: Bacon & eggs, ham, tocino, longganiza, danggit. You know, the usual breakfast fare.
Ate wants me to cut down on my food intake so this was all I was allowed to eat for breakfast. Hmp.
and my fresh fruit platter. <3
The GOppets will never get tired of Staycations! <3 My babyson had a nasty cold so please excuse his #WhatIsPanira fez. @_@
Kap had to leave early for a business meeting so he left me in the very capable hands of my 3 kids. I am so happy that they really took such great care of me & I didn’t even have to lift a single finger. They swept the room to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind. Packed, carried & rolled our suitcases to the car while I just sashayed my way down. :P #JaneQueenOfTheJungle
Thank you so much Oakwood Premier Manila, GWEN CARINO, and ALEAH ALAM, the lovely lady below who also models on the side for Oakwood! ;) And justly so -she’s so pretty don’t you think?
