Nostalgia Dining Lounge at the Oakwood Premier Joy

Kap & I were thrilled to be invited to the Press Lunch of Nostalgia Dining Lounge. We love visiting hotels & this was only our second time to set food at Oakwood Premier Joy Nostalg Center so I was understandably giddy. In fact, we got there 10 minutes before the call time. I was very pleased with my Kap’s punctuality that day. ;)

The Oakwood’s Nostalgia Dining Lounge just got a new face lift. Subtle, but noticeable. And quite impressive too. I’ve always found the decor of Nostalgia Dining Lounge on the “mature” & distinguished side. Don’t get me wrong. I prefer the old world decor. Even our furniture at home are old world. You won’t find anything modern. But sometimes formal can mean stuffy.

The old Nostalgia Dining Lounge was a bit too formal & it needed just a slight pick-me-upper to make its guests feel right at home. So imagine my delight when I stepped in & saw 3 new beautiful, inviting, function rooms. 3 themes to suit every personality. They have also updated the overall look with a contemporary classic elegance & feel to keep up with the present time but still have that age-old look reminisce of golden tradition.

Unintentionally match-matchy again. I love that Kap is open to wearing colored jeans now. :) Influenced by our kids of course. Now we’re both into happy colors! \m/

And then here’s my favorite room. Maybe because it’s girly yet with a touch of old world, shanghai tang-ish. The COSMOPOLITAN SHANGHAI room. Consumable 5k minimum. A mix of the bygone Oriental renaissance and the new, with Chinese hand-painted artwork, exquisite fabrics and pieces, combined with traditional dining furniture, to produce a unique Asian-laced private dining experience for up to six people.

If I have a boudoir in the future, I want my wallpaper & decor to be exactly like this! <3 Cosmo Shanghai!

I am so blessed that all my invites allow me to have Kap come along. I would never attempt to go on my own. It’s just too sad sitting there not knowing or talking to anyone. Besides, half the fun of going to events is sharing the memories with my Hunny. <3

Bagay talaga kay Kap ang colored jeans. Ang cute din na matched ang outfits niyo. =)

I really love the rersidences at Oakwood. And if that’s any indication of their food, then that must be good, too.

Okey din yung mga function rooms nila ha. May mga bagong suggestions na ako sa mga kaibigan ko on where to hold their birthdays. =)
