Food & Dining My Kids

Wasabi Warriors

I had a work-related event that I had to attend in the Makati area. Call time was 1 pm so I thought I’d at least treat my girls for lunch as thanks for accompanying me. I know I always say this but daughters are really gems. Yung binata ko walang pake! Puro girlfriend at barkada ang inaatupag, hay! :P While my girls, they are always so thoughtful & sweet, so caring & nurturing to me, their mother na nagsilang sa kanila sa mundong ito. Not like their brother. Hmp! #bittergourd

When I told them I had to got to a public school as part of my job with nuffnang, they immediately showered & offered to come kasi alam nilang wala akong sense of direction. Lampa pa. And true enough, nagkaligaw-ligaw nga ako, lels. What will I ever do without my daughters! <3

So food before duty. Ate thought of Wasabi Warriors which was like 5-10 minutes away from the public school I had to visit. I like to be prompt so she knew it had to be somewhere in the area & googled it. Yes, google is our friend. Si waze, sometimes. May pagka-frenemy ba.

Wasabi Warriors

GF Unit-5 Gramercy Residences, Century City, Kalayaan Avenue, Poblacion, Makati

Wasabi Warriors is an Australian brand that has expanded to Hong Kong, and now the Philippines. Makati to be exact.

At this new sushi place in Makati, “hungry warriors are challenged to eat good, do good and feel good. Wasabi Warriors aims not only to serve delicious sushi rolls, but also to champion local, free range, fresh, biodegradable, recycled, and sustainable practices.” – website

What makes them stand out among many other sushi restos is their “green heart”.  All ingredients used in Wasabi Warriors are from premium single origin, and are sourced locally.

Wasabi Warriors‘s menu includes 45 types of sushi, plus gyoza and the Warrior Hot Boxes or rice meals. The sushi offerings vary day by day, depending on availability of ingredients.

Wasabi Warriors also has other food other than sushi. They have dimsum. Surprise!

Hmmnnn.. choices, choices. The more choices there are, the more lito my girls get.

What’s more, their sushi, called Warrior Rolls, are available in three kinds of rice: white, brown, and black, rolled with different kinds of ingredients to represent their five Wasabi Warriors: ocean warrior, porky warrior, beefy warrior, chicken warrior, and veggie warrior. So health nuts will LOVE this place. I was with one two, so I guarantee it. ;)

Wasabi Warriors is a fastfood place. You place your order at the counter & pay.

Thank you my loves for always coming with me & taking care of me. <3

As can be expected of Japanese interiors, clean lines, basic settings.

Being a fast food place, don’t expect the sushi to be top-notch. I also found the ones with colored rice hard, being used to soft & easier to swallow japanese sticky rice.

Seared Salmon Mayo 400 php/6 pcs. A bit pricey but this was definitely a winner for us 3 gals. <3

Assorted sushi rolls. (Left) Spicy Crumbled Chicken Roll 120 php/4 pcs. (Right) Spicy Tuna Mix Roll 100 php.

Raw Salmon & Avocado Roll with Black Rice 150 php/4 pcs.

Beef Teriyaki Roll 120 php/pcs. & Raw Tuna & Avocado Roll 150 php.

Inari Seaweed 60 php.

Fast food pricing, value for money. just don’t expect too much.

Wasabi Warriors works on the “green heart” food philosophy that encourages diners to “eat good, do good, and feel good.”

“Eat good” – offers fast-but-fresh and healthy food.

“Do good” – ingredients are locally and ethically sourced, and sustainable.

“Feel good” – eating at the restaurant indirectly helps the organizations that they work with such as youth communities.

Kaya go na. Eat good, do good, and feel good!

Parang ganito.. ;P

Bakit pansin ko hindi ka masyadong nag-rave sa food niyo? hahaha… Kami din kasi, di namin type ang food diyan. Although the place is really gorgeous.

Heniways, I’m off to LA in a bit. Have a safe and dry weekend Jane! Mwah!
