Food & Dining My Kids

TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie

After checking out early from our Staycation at Oakwood to give them ample time to look around the mall, I allowed the kids to knock themselves out shopping at their favorite stores in Megamall to celebrate the end of the school year for the 2 younger ones. Ate on the other hand, still has a long way to go so this was her consuelo-de-bobo treat.

Ito na ang pagkakataon. The penny-pinching cat was away so the naughty, squandering mice can finally play! :P

The kids went crazy for clothes, shoes, swimsuits & other summer wear, scents from VS and other kalat.. (Gah! mabuti at 2 seasons lang tayo!) they shopped ’til they dropped so we had our energies recharged at TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie. At almost 4pm on a Sunday, it was still so full. I’m lucky my kids are maabilidad & were able to swoop down on 1 empty table to rest our weary feet & fill our hungry tummies.

noun UK /ˈbræs.ə.ri/ US /ˌbræs.əˈriː a restaurant that serves cheap and simple food

Let me assure you though. There is nothing cheap or simple about TuanTuan. I love the interiors. See for yourself why..

I’m pretty happy how the 2 older ones went up to get us a table while my Lovey & I were settling the shopping bill downstairs. There was quite a long line & they lucked out by getting a table quickly & efficiently. I have trained them well! ;))

Full house! This is one looooong lunch period! :P Or maybe like us, they also shopped first before settling for lunch.

I like the quirky wall decor. Something to look at while waiting for your orders! ;)

I like my coffee black. But for the sake of trying out TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie’s speciality drink, I caved in.

Hong Kong Style Coffee – Hot/ cold 98 php. The girls got their cold.

While I opted for the hot. Simply because I liked the aliw cup it came in. :P Next time though I will make it a point to try the Horlicks Milk – Hot/ cold 88 php. (You do remember Horlicks the candy right???)

Crispy Barbecued Pork Snow Buns – 3 pcs. 130 php. And Crispy Pineapple Snow Buns – 3 pcs. 130 php.

Hands down better than the competitor’s, in my opinion. LOVED THESE Pork BBQ buns! <3 The buns were soft & chewy, the filling sweet & I could actually see the pork. So good that we ordered 2 more!

The menus look like chinese newspaper. I love EVERYTHING about TuanTuan! <3

My pretty girls. <3

Make your Own TuanTuan Noodle Soup Set. Step 1 – Choose your soup base. Step 2 – Choose your toppings. Step 3 – Choose your noodles. Step 4 – Choose 1 drink. Step 5 – Add side dishes (additional fee).

Honey Garlic Spareribs 300 php.

Ate’s Szechuan Spicy Soup 388 php.

My babyson’s Tomato and Pumpkin Fish Soup 428 php.

My Lovey’s Original Fish Soup 388 php.

And my Malay Laksa Soup 428 php.

Fried Black and White Milk Bread 168 php. Plain fried mantou bread dipped in evaporated milk. But oh so good!

I will most definitely go back to try the congees! And everything else that we missed! I’ll say it again, I loved everything at TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie! Now I have so many reasons to visit SM Megamall. <3 Lagot si Kap!

When the cat is away, the mice will play… Hehehe…

Hehehe…

I had a really, really, really bad experience the first and only time I went here. I vowed never to go back.

But, sabi nga ni Richard (aka talesfromthetummy) ay maayos na daw ang service nila, so baka I might give this place another shot.
