Speaking of Caramels & Apples, Do you know what else you can make with them? Why, Caramel Apples of course!

Caramel apples or taffy apples are created by dipping or rolling apples-on-a-stick in hot caramel, sometimes then rolling them in nuts or other small savories or confections, and allowing them to cool. Generally, they are called caramel apples when only caramel is applied and taffy apples for when there are further ingredients such as peanuts applied.

What you need: Medium-sized apples, Caramel cubes, Water.

– Wash apples & dry completely. Drying the apples will allow the caramel to stick to the apple better. Insert a wooden stick to the stem of each apple.

– Place the caramel cubes & a teaspoon of water in a medium saucepan & cook over low heat until caramel is completely melted. Add water little by little to achieve desired consistency. Stir Constantly.

– Dip thoroughly dried apples into melted caramel. Coat apples evenly & let excess caramel drip off.

– Spruce it up by rolling & sprinkling fun toppings like candy sprinkles, rice krispies, tiny marshmallows or chocolate chips. Experiment on different combinations & be creative.

– Refrigerate your creation for at least 1 hour, then serve.

Don’t forget to pair your beautiful apple with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Sparkling Iced Tea or Caramel latte & be refreshed on a hot, sunny day.

A fun summer activity for you & your kids! Thank you Ate for the uber creative & beautiful as always food styling & shot. Thank you my Lovey for making the caramelized apples. Noms!
