Late Dinner at Marriott Cafe. Alone but not Lonely.

Like I mentioned in my previous related post, the girls & I were supposed to meet up for a buffet dinner at the Marriott Cafe of Marriott Hotel Manila. Their tito Richie, the famous THE PICKIEST EATER IN THE WORLD, arranged for a surprise dinner for us & I was over the moon with JOY! I love buffets. You know it, I know it, the world knows it. ‘Nuff said.

Unfortunately though, the girls didn’t get to make it as they were tied up elsewhere. The Youtube Fan Fest which was supposed to have scheduled breaks in between (3 parts) went longer than expected so it was a non-stop affair for the kids. No water & food break at all.

But nothing & no one can dampen my happy spirits. Hey, we’re talking about a buffet here! . ;) An Ocean Surf at that. Plus, no one around to tell me to stop piling my plate mile high with all things delectable. Bring it, game on!

Cheese & bread platter. ONE! hahahaha *lightning *thunder

Sushi & Sashimi Platter. TWO! hahahaha *lightning *thunder

Thank you Marriott Cafe for an awesome platter of the freshest catch from the sea! Thank goodness I’m on a SEE-FOOD diet!

Stir Fried Scallops. THREE! hahahaha *lightning *thunder

Teppanyaki Beef. FOUR! hahahaha *lightning *thunder

Rib Eye Steak. FIVE! hahahaha *lightning *thunder

Out with the old plate, and in with the new. The Turf to my Surf. A clean cut, no-frills Rib Eye with a side of peppercorn sauce. Still within the confines of my SEE-FOOD Diet! ;)

Dessert Platter. SIX! hahahaha *lightning *thunder “I could have counted all night! And still have counted more!”

So this is how it feels to eat without the pang-gulo. Unli dessert!

SIX!!! I certainly put a new meaning to the phrase.. PINABAYAAN SA KUSINA didn’t I! :P I would have gotten more except my lovely hosts came to join me & ended my love affair with the buffet table.

They were probably tasked by the kitchen patrol to stop me lest I emptied what was left of their servings. ;)

With the lovely ladies MICHELLE GARCIA, Director of Marketing & communications, Marriott Hotel Manila. And Aimee Lagman, Assistant Marketing Manager. Thank you so much for the love! <3

As the girls didn’t get to make it for our surprise dinner treat, the super thoughtful ladies sent us them some food so they don’t go to sleep hungry. Mommy is super touched! :’)

Margherita Pizza 525 php for my Lovey. Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil leaves. And Grilled Portuguese Chicken Peri Peri 650 php for my famished Ate. Homemade chili and herb spiked marinade, mojo potatoes, roasted corn on the cob. They are very very thankful!

‘Course, I kept dreaming of the ones that got away..
