Love Bites at Marriott

I love weddings. <3 I’m a hopeless romantic. There’s something about weddings that make me think of freshly cut grass & spring. A new beginning between 2 people who have been joined together and are now one for the rest of their lives.. or so I hope! ;)

Last Sunday, my cousin’s daughter married the man of her dreams 8 years her senior after a 2 year romance. This proves yet again the cliché that age doesn’t matter. And why wait when you know in your heart that he’s “The One”. My sentiments exactly. Life is too short. Live in the moment, you never know when your journey will end so enjoy life while you can.

The reception was held at the grand ballroom of the Mariott hotel. The moment I stepped inside I knew I was in for a treat. The decor alone spelled P-O-S-H! <3 I adored the floral centerpieces that covered the entire ballroom. It really looked like spring in December with all those beautiful, dreamy colors.

The first dance. A first among so much more, I hope. <3
“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,
And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
― William W. Purkey

Introducing the newlyweds. Eunice & Warren.
Warm congratulations & best of wishes to a very special pair. May you always find in each other the love, laughter and happiness that only lovers whom God has joined together share!

Chinese lauriat was a welcome change from the usual buffet set-up.

Suckling Pig Combination.

Hot Prawn Salad with Cornflakes. I could tell my octogenarian aunt was very hungry when she started getting food in spite of my protest for a quick photo prior hehe.

Fish Lip Soup.

Sliced Beef with Broccoli Flower.

Braised Bai Ling Mushroom with Lettuce.

Steamed Lapu-Lapu in Light Soy Sauce.

Deep Fried Pigeon.

Braised E-fu Noodles with 3 kinds of Mushrooms.

Chilled Sago Cream with Mango & Pomelo.

Masachi.

Marriott Hotel has a Gingerbread kiosk at the Lobby. The kid in me couldn’t resist taking a couple’s photo in front of the train.

It’s You & Me for the long haul, Honey. <3 There’s no one else I’d rather ride the rest of my trip with than (choo) YOU.. ;)) Sigh. Weddings really get to me. I’d marry this guy over & over again in a heartbeat.

Our wedding wish for the couple: Love is best when shared by two. You know that together you are stronger, together you are one. May the glow of love and happiness from your marriage day be with you for the rest of your lives! May the Good Lord bless you and keep you. Have a wonderful married life Warren & Eunice! <3

I love weddings too but never get to go as much as I want to.

BTW, can you educate me on the Chinese lauriat? I’ve seen it once, but I was under the impression it’s a single dish.

hahaha No Maria it’s dishes upon dishes of food to be shared amongst the people seated at the table. Usually several courses that makes one fat & happy! ;))
