Just as I am protective of them, they are equally protective of me & won’t allow me to go off on my own. They know I’d get lost for sure. :)) So when my new-found cousin RICHARD invited me to have lunch with him & some of his friends at KETTLE in Shangrila Mall and Kap wasn’t available that day to join me, the kids positioned themselves right where they can keep an eye on me. Richard plays basketball with Chef Chiloy Santos, part-owner of KETTLE & Corporate Chef. Seeing the LAST TIME we dined at Kettle it was during their soft-opening, I was happy to come back & try the other dishes I didn’t get to the first time.

Chef Chiloy got us started with some refreshing flavored cold teas. (from left to right) Regular, Green tea, and Peach which was my favorite among the 3.
My favorite from the bunch, Miso Glazed Salmon 559 php. Pan fried Norwegian salmon, marinated cold soda noodles, mango cilantro salsa. I didn’t think I’d LOVE it, but after one mouthful I was hooked. The combination of the cold soba, the salmon, and the mango salsa was just unexplainably perfect. <3
Still my favorite among the desserts, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake 189 php.
Thank you Richard for inviting me to lunch at Kettle. I really enjoyed all the other items on the menu that I didn’t get to try before. I can only have this much food when I have you guys around to share haha. And thank you Chiloy for having us. We enjoyed the food as much as we enjoyed your company! :-*
