Kate Spade New York Afternoon Tea

Now that the kids are back to school, we don’t get to have as much fun anymore because whatever free time they have is devoted to studying. Their grades for the quarter just came out & I’m one hecka proud mommah! They may play hard, but they also study hard, and I couldn’t be more proud of my kids. Not one iota of trouble from them. At all.

So when LONI BAYANGOS of Raffles & Fairmont Hotel had my girls & I over for a KATE SPADE HIGH TEA, I couldn’t be happier. Plus, it came at the most opportune time as last Friday was a free day for my girls. Ate had Linggo ng Agham, while my Lovey had Report Card day. So they each had the day free.

We were so excited the whole week leading to the big day because my girls are SUCH fans of Kate Spade & love poring over the beautiful goods on display at the stores. So we knew we were in for a cuteness overload. And we were right! ❤️

What impressed me most about Raffles Hotel Makati were the chandeliers ranging from modern to sophisticated & old world, I have to admit. I think it’s what sets them apart from the others. Because like I said in my previous post, each one is unique & has its own story to tell..

The Lobby ain’t too shabby either. ;) It invokes of old world charm. And the moment you step foot inside you feel grandeur at every turn from the decor to the furnitures, to the marbled floor & wall paneling. Everything is a work of art & attention to detail is executed at every turn.

And my girls just can’t keep a straight face! :P

You can get lost delighting yourself in the many beautiful objects of art found at just about every nook & cranny.

My girls LOVE high tea & the poshness of the Writer’s Bar is just so fitting for the royal ceremony that is High Tea.

A High Tea set menu is good for 2 pax. You have a choice of either a flavoured tea each, 2 cups of coffee, or a cup of tea & a cup of coffee.

Ate chose the Mango Fruit 210 php/pot, and my Lovey had the Sweet Paris 210 php/pot, and I of course, had the brewed coffee. But all these come with the High Tea.

Our server Ricky was very attentive & always flashed us a warm smile whenever he would visit us at our table. If you read my previous posts on Raffles & Fairmont, you would know that I fell in love with them because of the impeccable service & beautiful smiles. I’m really a sucker for those qualities. A place can have the BEST food, but if the service is bad, and the servers grouchy, that’s it for me. The place loses its magic.

For an additional 1,000 php/person, you get to enjoy a glass of sparkling Rose champagne with your tea.

I assure you, you WILL want it. ;)

My Lovey tastes her first champagne. And with me too. What an unforgettable moment. Her initiation to ladyhood.

Sandwiches – A set of Kate Spade High Tea consists of: Grilled marinated bell peppers on sundried tomato ciabatta (2) – Tomato, mozzarella and pesto bruschetta (2) – Turkey pastrami, cheddar and green apple on rye bread (2) – Cream cheese smoked salmon mini bagel (2)

Until now, my girls & I are still raving about our High Tea at The Write’s Bar of Raffles & Fairmont Hotel. We have vowed to make this a habit.

Thank you so much again & again Raffles & Fairmont Hotels, Makati and  LONI BAYANGOS for a highly enchanting afternoon! <3
