Teppanyaki Buffet at Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant

Ate & I celebrated her 20th birthday at Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant and I was highly impressed. I oooh’d & ahhh’d at every turn. This little part of Diamond Hotel is a sight to behold with its glass cherry blossom trees & glass-encased high ceiling & walls. I vowed to take Kap on a date here one day, and the chance finally popped up! \m/ I was soooo happy!

My beautiful daughter so in harmony with her surroundings. A gilded cage, and she is my precious bird hehe. ;))

Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant

Diamond Hotel, Roxas Blvd. cor Dr. J. Quintos St. Malate, Manila (02) 528-3000 loc. 1127

Our friends at Diamond Hotel invited us to try the Teppanyaki Buffet at Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant. For only 2,800.00 nett, take your pick among the sashimi, sushi, makizushi, temaki sushi, salad, soup, seafood, meat, vegetables, rice, noodles, AND dessert choices. PLUS! It also comes with a drink (1 kind but unlimited!).

Match-matchy again. Coz we’re truly a match made in heaven.

All these in unlimited quantities! So bring your appetite! <3

In line with turning Japanese, I asked for a Japanese beer since sake was not included in the Teppanyaki buffet.

Our gracious hosts started us off with miso soup.

Salad.. (which I strongly suggest you skip to make room for more of the great things to come)

Then came the exciting part. Sushi & Sashimi festival! Eat all you can! My heart was beating so fast I thought it would pop out from my chest!

Just look at that beauty & tell me if you won’t fall in love at first sight too.

Only the freshest catch at Yurakuen Japanese restaurant. Love at 2nd, 3rd, & 4th sight. These’ll definitely keep me falling in love over & over again!

First order of business on the teppan table.. FRIED RICE!

Sooo good that Kap had an extra serving. Kasi nga naman ang tunay na lalaki ay may extra rice! Not that he had to prove anything. ;)

Second order of business. Our ulam! What better way to satiate our tummies than scallops & jumbo prawns freshly caught from the sea & into our bellies!

Yurakuen Japanese Restaurant uses butter for an added taste. So can you just imagine what kind of sorcery this buttery scallop did to me?

After this jumbo prawn, I was at a loss for words. I just kept moaning in delight. Kap nudged me time & again to shut me up. :P

Freshness after freshness with every batch. Only in our third platter & I was already BFFs with our chef. :P In fact, I was asking for his number. But he didn’t seem to hear.. or chose to ignore it LOL.

Our gracious hosts, the Diamond Hotel gang, Melanie Samonte, PR Manager (standing), Chel Francisco, PR Supervisor (seated), and JR Intertas, PR Assistant. Thank you so much for having us. I felt like crying the whole 2.5 hours that I was eating.

Then the beefs started coming out. I was in foodie heaven. Yurakuen now TOPS my must-visit Japanese resto in town.

OHM. There goes that buttah again! This Beef Tenderloin is hypnotizing me.

Top Sirloin Beef

Wagyu beef. ‘Nuff said. (THIS IS NOT PART OF THE EAT-ALL-YOU-CAN MENU but available ala carte or extra)

At this point I couldn’t even chew anymore. Good thing too coz these beautiful pieces of wagyu beef literally MELTS in your mouth.

Forgive me Father for I have signed. To atone, I must eat some veggies for a balanced diet. ;)

We were all catatonic by the end of the meal. But dessert is a must for the overall experience..

Japanese ice cream to cleanse the palate! I chose Black Sesame while Kap had the Green Tea. Tea is included so do ask your friendly server for a steaming cup.

The kimono clad beauties who catered to our every need. Thank you ladies, thank you Chef! :)

I’m surprised we could even walk away from our table. I was ready to ask my Kap to roll me to the car where I could sleep in peace!

or under these colorful lamps would be fine too. I think I see jellyfish. Jellyfish are edible right? Oh my! I’m still seeing food everywhere.

Super happy in fact that we are already planning another visit so the kids can also try Yurakuen’s amazing buffet.

Thank you so much Diamond Hotel & of course Melanie, Chel, and JR for an amazing & gastronomical experience. <3
