Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar

It’s been a while since Christmas that Kap & I were able to spend some quality time with Richard & Irene. Irene has been super-dee-duper busy with her cheesecake business last holiday season so we put off getting together until everything has calmed down considerably.

Last week, we were finally able to meet up for some serious catching up & a yummy steak lunch at Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar. They really are our eating besties haha. #FoodiesForLife

Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar

UG/F City of Dreams, Aseana Avenue corner Roxas Blvd., Baclaran, Parañaque (02) 801-8888 ; (02) 886-9646

Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar is designed like a Western steakhouse but it’s actually from Tokyo. The beef at the restaurant is mainly from the United States and Japan, although it also offers Wagyu, which is very popular among the high rollers of City of Dreams Manila.

Finally got a chance to catch up with Mr. & Mrs. Tales From The Tummy after a very busy & hectic holiday! <3 They must have missed me something big to allow a photo op. :) They normally don’t agree to having their pictures taken, teehee. Calls for a shot in the slots, won’t you say? Ganda pa ng smile ni Richard.

When in Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar, and while waiting for your drinks & orders to arrive, do casually ask your server to show you the “multi-million peso box,” a temperature-controlled glass showcase carrying 900 wines including the uber pricey Pétrus that can retail for as high as $70,000.00/bottle! zOMG!

Care for some bordeaux wine? Only a cool 2 MILLION PESOS for this box of 6 assorted premium french vino! @_@

What about some fresh Lobsters & Scallops? <3 Kept in this climate-controlled aquarium, ready for the taking.

Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar brings out the beast in Kap! ;P So very ready for our steak lunch!

When at Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar, mojitos are definitely in order. Cheers! My Strawberry Mojito & Irene’s Mango Mojito.

With my forever date who still manages to make me blush. <3

Boutique Tomatoes 650 php to start off our lunch. Shaved red onion-gorgonzola over fresh, sweet tomatoes. I’d also suggest this as a palate cleanser in between your main courses instead of an appetizer with its clean, refreshing taste.

Followed by Ruby’s Caesar Salad 550 php. Parmesan loaded crispy lettuce.

Sizzling Scallops 800 php. Scallops cooked in black garlic butter-lemon. 3 is definitely NOT enough! ;)

Nope, the cute chef is not part of the menu. Sayang haha! French-Canadian Chef Eric Turgeon whips up dishes after yummy dishes, tickling our palates.

When you’re out on a date at Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar and you wanna impress your lady love, may I suggest: T-Bone 800g 4,500 php for her, Tomahawk 5,000 php for you, Teppan & Char-grilled seafood plate for 2 (lobster, scallops, salmon) 7,500 php to share, Lobster mac & cheese 700 php, Mashed potato 250 php, Torched asparagus & lemon 500 php, and Spicy onion rings 250 php as sides. You’re bound to get VERY lucky, I promise you! ;)

T-Bone. Tender & cooked perfectly. Can you see the pink? Oooh-la-la!

Tomahawk. Sooooo flavorful. We didn’t even touch the sauces that came with it.

Mashed Potato. Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & bar has no rice available on the menu. So I’d suggest an order or 2 of this creamy mashed potato.

Asparagus. A MUST order. Torched to perfection, crunchy to the bite.

Onion Rings. I have to say, these are the MOST DECADENT onion rings I’ve ever tasted in my life. Pinky swear! This right here, is the queen of all onion rings.

Seafood Platter. Lobster is LOVE-ster. ‘Nuff said.

Mac & Cheese. With BIG chunks of lobster! Be still my wildly beating heart. For this, I’d gladly pass on the rice.

My happy plate filled sugar, spice, and all things nice. <3

Now don’t forget to cap off your lunch with some beautifully-plated desserts: Mango Cajeta Pavlova 400 php, Baked to order cheesecake 400 php (Dayap curd/earl grey ice cream/lavender, and Strawberry pomegranate agar 400 php (coconut lychee sorbet/passionfruit cream). Definitely a feast for the sight & senses!

Cheesecake. Very similar to baked alaska, heaven in your mouth.

Agar. I liked how playful this dessert was, with a jiggly strawberry jello underneath that sweet mound.

and finally, this Mango Pavlova. With meringue as a crusty base. Perfect marriage of sweet & sour.

Wash ’em all down with Black Coffee, or if you prefer, cappuccino.

Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar is not just all about the steak, you can enjoy a hearty brunch too!

On a side note, have you noticed a new look for Kap my Kap? He’s been dressing preppier than usual. Could it be? Nahawa na sya sa kakikayan ng buhok ko? His #OOTD lol.

Ooops. He caught me snapping several pictures of him. “Sweetheart, I-chi-chismis mo na naman ba ako sa blog mo?” Uhm, slight! Hahaha! ;)) Nalusaw naman ang fats ko sa lagkit ng tingin na yan, masyado aking kinilig! I really like your look Honey. Thank you for dressing up for our date. :-* Aaaaand what’s that he’s holding? Why Irene’s famous halo-halo cheesecake of course. I can never get enough, so Irene always gives me a freshly baked batch whenever we see each other! Sweetness overload. <3

Doumo arigatou gozaimasu, Ruby Jack’s Steakhouse & Bar, for a delightful lunch. And 谢 谢 again & again Richard & Irene for another gastronomic adventure! <3

By the way, the cheesecake queen does it again with this outtatheworld cheese pimiento for only 300 php/bottle. Sharp cheddar with a hint of sweetness in every bite. Call Irene at 0917-6225800 or CLICK HERE to go to her Facebook page. Only by special order for special people. :) And depending on whether Irene likes you enough to go through all that trouble, trololol! Thank you for my stash Irene! Sa uulitin!

Yuuuummyyyyyy! <3 Perfect as dip, spread, or eaten alone. Just dip in your finger & indulge. ;)

Pero ang mahaaaaaalllll diyan! Mukhang ang high rollers lang sa casino ang target market nila.

Pero P2M for that box of wines… maning-mani sa iyo yan, Jane! hehehe…

Must pass by Ma’am Chef Irene’s place to order some of her cheese pimiento once my schedule lightens up.

I was there last Friday, ordered that T-BONE STEAK and I must say, it is indeed 800 grams of melt-in-your-mouth goodness!
    Nakalimutan kong naka-diet ako. LOL

AND that bread + olive oil and that yummy balsamic vinegar?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Hinde maasim! Matalap!!! Unfortunately, they are not selling it, ahihihihi!

Love their cheesecake, too. Parang Pablo’s. Luv, luv, luv everything here.

More than the food, the service is excellent. Sobrang nabusog si Franco so he decided to walk around and guess what – found him nakaupo sa bar with his on the house Mojito! Oh di ba? Shangrila levels!

Hindi ko lang nakita si CHEF. Sad.
