Iba pa ba yungHyatt City of Dreams Manila sa Hyatt Hotel & Casino in Pedro Gil (home to Market Cafe, Li Li, and The Fireplace) o pinag-isa na? That was my initial question when I heard that a Hyatt Hotel was part of the City of Dreams hotel clusters.
My family loves Market Cafe & it has been a part of many birthday celebrations. CLICK HERE & HERE for my other previous posts. Li Li is another favorite. So, will this upgraded City of Dreams version also steal our hearts, was my second question. :P
Hyatt City of Dreams Manila is a stylish, modern hotel at City of Dreams Manila—an exhilarating 6.2-hectare integrated hub of international retail, world-class dining and globally renowned nightclubs and entertainment within Parañaque’s Entertainment City. Spread over two gleaming towers, Hyatt City of Dreams Manila houses 365 comfortable, modern rooms where you can prepare, recharge and kick back, when you’re not busy exploring the city (or immersing yourself in the casino, lels).
And to answer my question, the old has gone -behold the new has come. Bigger, better & waaay prettier! And I was so thrilled to be among its guests on the very first day of the Szechuan Fair. As you know, I love all things spicy. So this lunch buffet was definitely going to be my undoing..

SZECHUAN: of, relating to, or being a style of Chinese cooking that is spicy, oily, and especially peppery. For a limited time, Chefs Vincent Wu & Clark Zhang from Hyatt Regency Chongqing are in Manila to let us sample their culinary skills in Szechuan cuisine.
Ooooh yes. Spice, spice baby!
King Jelly Fish.
Traditional Beef Tongue & Tripe Chili, Szechuan Style.
Crispy Chicken Numbing pepper chili, peanuts. So spicy that it allegedly makes you NUMB! *gasp
Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup.
Wok Fried Sweet & Sour Prawns Gong Bao Style. My personal favorite. Hot as hell, but soooo good. Must try! <3
Wok-fried Fragant Pork Leeks, Chili Sauce.
Wash them all down with these ice-cold, thirst-quenching infused water. Available every lunch & dinner with your buffet.
But of course, our taste for adventure doesn’t just stop at Szechuan! Our tummies are used to being #StretchedToItsLimits :P
So very happy to be among the first to try the Szechuan Fair. Can you tell? I’m practically GLOWING with delight! ;))
Of course I will never let my love for the freshest sushi & sashimi pass.
And homaygad. CHEESESES!!! <3
Meanwhile, my beef was busy with his own beef! Naka-abang sa ribs!
The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams makes life so much easier for foodies like us who NEED to have multiple plates! ;)) Here’s a tray for your convenience. How’s that for customer care?
And as my mother always says: A little green goes a long way. ;)
Food for thought: No matter how stuffed you may be, there is always ALWAYS room for dessert! <3
Obviously, I went a little cray-cray with the chocolates. :)
I have to admit, the more I was at Hyatt City of Dreams, the more I fell in love with the place. And the food! Now this is the Hyatt I have missed.
