B Hotel QC

Not for anything, and not that I’m indebted or beholden to anyone, but The Bellevue Manila is really dear to my heart. I have stayed in all the neighboring hotels here in the south, but I can in all honesty say that there is just something special at The Bellevue Manila. For us at least.

The food is superb -be it in any of the 3 in-house restaurants (Cafe d’Asie, Phoenix Court, or Hatsune), the ambiance very relaxing, and the staff so charming & helpful. Unparalleled, really. Truly the queen of the south. From start to finish, your staycation experience is nothing short of spectacular. The Chans, who are very hands-on & highly involved in every management aspect of their hotel chains, really know how to treat their guests right.

Far left, PATRICK CHAN – General Manager. Beside him is RYAN CHAN – Marketing Manager. Standing tall in the middle is the patriarch JOHNNY CHAN – Chairman & President. And 2nd from the right is DUSTIN CHAN.

I have to say that from The Bellevue Manila, to the Bellevue Resort in Bohol, and to B Hotel Alabang, I am a certified fan. So when the GOppets were invited to try the new B Hotel QC, its sister hotel, even though it’s kabilang bundok away, I immediately said YES PLEASE and I DO! I DO! I DO! THANK YOU!

And so, in celebration of my babyson’s 18th birthday, we hied off to the far-flung QC a couple of weekends ago. As you may know, I had a very stressful & emotional 2-week period with my mom’s recent illness, so this was a most welcome respite to my frayed nerves & tender heart. I also haven’t been spending any QT with the fambam of late as I was in the hospital most of my waking moments, so my babyson’s birthday weekend was really intended for plenty of R&R (rest & relaxation, and rekindling & romance).

B Hotel QC

14 Scout Rallos St., Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines (02) 990 5000

B Hotel QC, though a boutique hotel, has ample parking space & all the amenities you’d ever need in your short getaway.

Attending personally to each guest is B Hotel QC‘s very charming & helpful Duty Manager, Pedmark Madridejos.

Boutique hotel is a term used to describe small hotels which have typically between 10 and 100 rooms in unique settings with upscale accommodations. B Hotel QC certainly answers to both unique & upscale. <3

A marriage between vintage & industrial, you’d think it won’t work. But just like me & Kap, sobrang swak-to! ;) There is a certain charm in this boutique hotel. Try it & you’ll know what I’m talking about.

From the moment you enter the elevator, you’ll see that every detail has been carefully thought of & planned out.

November 28, on the 8th floor. Lucky day? :)

Because the rooms at B Hotel QC are on the small side, we were billeted in 2 separate rooms. That can only mean one thing.. HONEYMOON TIME for me & Kap. Wheeeeeee! ;))

The sink is separated from the main bathroom, which is a pretty clever idea. That way one can do his business inside while leaving the washing & brushing to another outside. Also, the shared door to the bathroom swings to & from the door to the toilet, so it’s an efficient cost-saver as well as a space saver! \m/ Btw, for the shy type & non-exhibitionists (LIKE ME!!), don’t worry. A roller blind pulls down to give you bathroom privacy.

The kids loved the soft, chewy, and cheesy ensaymada in chocolate, ube & leche flan from the Pastry Corner found on the ground floor. They also took delight in finding a wall art in their room with a drawing of their school, UST. Mga loyalists talaga itong mga anak ko!

While Kap & I enjoyed a bedroom with a queen bed (top photo), the kids relaxed in a separate room (below) with 2 double beds & an extra cot to accommodate all 3. As you can see, even with their own room, sa amin parin sila nakikigulo!

It was a gloomy afternoon & it rained a bit so the kids decided not to use the pool. Malamig! It’s nice to see that a JING MONIS SALON will soon open on the 3rd floor. The perfect boutique hotel for brides & debutants in the QC area. The FIRST hotel in QC if I’m not mistaken?

A small gym is also available for the health buff. Like you know who! :P This is a requirement!

Though compact in size, B Hotel QC has a bar on the mezzanine (perfect as a cigar room, don’t you agree?) that stays true to the hotel’s overall masculine decor..

overlooking the dining area on the ground floor, the LOBBY CAFE, where we celebrated my babyson’s birthday dinner.

The choices are limited, but the menu has everything from salads & sammies, to meryenda, to main dishes and dessert.

I have to say, I enjoyed the Caesar salad (top left) more than the Organic Garden Salad (bottom left), which Ate opted for because of the non-fat dressing. zOMG! Calorie-counter much. The crisp salad dishes paired perfectly with the Mushroom Soup (top right) & Tomato Cream Soup (bottom right).

The Heathy MSG for my health buff who always watches what she eats. I have reservations on those potato wedges though hehe. Healthy ba yaaaan?

My carnivore sunk his teeth on this tender & affordable Angus Rib Eye.

While my Lovey had the B Burger.

Kap & I shared these: Grilled King Prawn, Pizza Margarita, and Meaty Bolognese. #AlamNa kung sino ang matatakaw!

I requested for a birthday cake & the staff were only too happy to accommodate. Thank you so much for making my babyson’s birthday dinner special. <3

I swear, and it may sound biased (lol!), but he gets GOwapo-er & GOwapo-er every year! ;P

Our kids, all grown up now. I’m thankful for this blog because I can look back on previous posts & see how the years have been good to us.

Choco Lava Cake, Cherry Cheesecake, and our babyson’s birthday cake.

For a hotel, the prices are reasonable & competitive.

We really had a good night’s rest. After 2 weeks of sleepless nights worrying over my mom, the plush duvet, fluffy pillows, and thick, fat, comfy mattress had me snoring in an instant once my back hit the bed. Nakalimutan ko na ang masamang balak ni Kap sa akin! ;)

For an overnight introductory price of 3,600.00 php which has been extended until December 31, 2015, a complimentary buffet breakfast is included for 2 adults & 2 kids. Saan ka pa? For every extra person, just pay a reasonable price of 450 php nett.

Happy Kap, happy kids, happy life! <3

Hope you had a happy birthday, my babyson. <3 I love you so much & I wish you unlimited happiness & success in all that you do.
