When Richard invited me to join them for a bloggers dinner in Megamall, I was delighted because I will finally get to meet not only him, but his lovely wife Irene of the very famous cheesecake mini factory, INDULGENCE BY IRENE, as well! <3

With the very friendly, very chatty Irene who immediately put me at ease during a bloggers dinner in Megamall. :)

I always hear about this cheesecake wonder, but I never had the chance to try it because Irene lives up north & I live down south. And it’s very rare that we go out of our comfort zone.

Indulgence by Irene has been featured in Yummy Magazine as a top dessert choice in festivities.

As if Richard & Irene read my mind, they gave me some lovin’ to take home. And as soon as I ate a forkful, I knew I was in BIG trouble! @_@ I don’t know how I’m ever gonna get my cheesecake fix with Irene living so very far away. I mean it took us 2 dang hours to get to Megamall. I foresee many similar trips in the near future just to get my hands on these killer cheesecakes huhuhu.

Not to be overly dramatic, but Irene has truly ruined all other cheesecakes for me.
Her cheesecakes are so rich & flavorful, you can taste the creamy cheese in every bite. <3
Best of all, Irene’s cheesecakes are NOT OVERLY SWEET. So yes, I can indulge!

I was surprised to find this baby so heavy. It’s really packed with all the wonderful ingredients that could brighten anyone’s day.
I kid you not.

My favorite is hands down the QUESO DE BOLA. <3
Once you go Indulgence, you never go back!

Lemme tell you, I LURVE cheesecake! Not just like. LURVE! <3 And I’ve tried quite a lot in my lifetime (that’s a long, long, long LONG time!), but nothing as RICH as Irene’s cheesecakes. Hence the name INDULGENCE. It really takes a lot of self lovin’ to give in to that big bite of luxurious, creamy, sinful cheesecake. It’s a good thing I’m NEVER on a diet, so I don’t mind the pounds piling on.

Kap on the other hand, loves Ube. Anything with Ube, he eats. :P
He doesn’t eat cheesecake but this one, he LOVED because of the ube!
If I’m not mistaken, I think Irene is the only one who makes flavored cheesecakes.

For the chocolate lovers, Indulgence by Irene has this rich & smooth Tablea made from pure cacao from Davao.

For the CHOCNUT lovers, indulge in this Chocnut Cheesecake with a generous topping of Pinoy’s home grown favorite chocolate.

And Irene uses the best ingredients too. No scrimping, so her cheesecakes are worth every penny. Believe me, I’ve tried it. My personal favorite is the QDB. I asked Irene which one was hers. Like a loving mother, she was mum at first, claiming all to be equally dear to her. But after a little cajoling, she let it slip that like me, Queso de Bola cheesecake is her favorite, with Ube a very very close second.

Indulgence by Irene started in 2011 when Irene gave a despedida, I mean a CHEESE-PEDIDA party to a dear friend who happened to LOVE cheese (yes, maybe as much as I do. Or even more! :P). Her cheesecake was an instant hit with the crowd! It became even more popular when she experimented using queso de bola in her top secret recipe. And the rest, as they say, is history. Now, Irene’s cheesecakes are in demand. The fans of these babies are lucky if Irene holds a spot in a bazaar. Otherwise, they can only pick up their prized goods in ASTORIA PLAZA. With at least 2 days advanced notice!

Now don’t just take my word for it. Order one & try it yourself. Then tell me if I was right, or if I was right! ;)

Richard & Irene, is there any chance you’ll open a cheesecake shop here in Alabang? Pretty please with cherries on top??? <3
