Who doesn’t love breakfast? Restaurants serving all-day breakfast is top on my list of favorites. There’s just something about comfort food that makes you feel warm & fuzzy all day long, don’t you agree?
Our usual go-to place is Pancake House, but for a variety, we mix it up with Maple, and now that it’s much closer to our home, IHOP. But the kids always order pancakes, omelette, and beef tapa. Those are their staples, even with eyes closed, they already know by heart which breakfast food to order.
The IHOP Philippine franchise (there’s already SIX branches in less than 2 years, can you imagine??? With the latest that just opened at Ayala Fairview Terraces this September. And they’re looking at opening 6 more in a year’s time!), THE FIRST -not only on the Philippines but across Asia, is brought to us by Global Restaurant Concepts, Inc. GRCI is also responsible for the local franchises of Gyu-Kaku -the number one yakiniku restaurant in the world (at BGC & Shangri-La East Wing), California Pizza Kitchen, Morelli’s and P.F. Chang’s (at BGC, ATC, & Shangri-La East Wing).
IHOP is famous for its American-style pancakes, but the US-based restaurant chain has plenty to offer diners, including a range of hearty omelets, sandwiches and appetizers. Known originally as International House of Pancakes when it opened its first outlet outside Los Angeles in 1955, IHOP now has over 1,500 restaurants in the US. It has also established a presence in Canada, Mexico and various parts of Latin America and the Middle East.
