I’m a fan of color. I know I should wear black because it makes even the orca whale look thinner, but the burst of colors make me soooo happy! <3
I first saw these 2 harajuku platforms a year ago. Fell in love even though I don’t normally wear heels (what with my weight & all). But went on ahead with the purchase coz I couldn’t resist the colors. Painful as hell, I tell you -plastic eh. Wore them only 3x I think.. as needed! ;P
Then last sunday as we were looking for a baptismal gift for my Hunny’s inaanak, ate saw this & tasked my Lovey to immediately report back to me, haha. With matching picture on her phone camera! ;)
and blue! @_@
To cut a short story even shorter, I bought ’em. Along with 2 outfits to match the shoes (not harajuku -I’m too old na for their clothes haha!) I’m now on the look-out for yellow & green platforms –kasehodang madapa!
So yes. You could say that I’m a self-confessed harajuku lover! ;)
Harajuku Lovers is singer Gwen Stefani’s brand of apparel, fashion accessories, and stationery launched in 2005. The concept for Harajuku Lovers revolves around the Shibuya, Tokyo area of Harajuku and the four “Harajuku Girls,” Gwen Stefani’s Japanese back-up dancers and entourage (Love, Angel, Music, and Baby).
Unlike Stefani’s other fashion line, L.A.M.B., launched in 2004, which aimed for a more mainstream demographic, Harajuku Lovers instead tends to focus specifically on ‘Kawaii’ made famous by the streets of Harajuku in Japan. Kawaii depictions of Stefani and her dancers are common features of the products as is the kanji 原宿 (Harajuku) logo.
Although, I wouldn’t mind this lovely marc jacobs shoes..
I’m a size 8, in case anyone wants to send me a pair, haha! ;))
