Food & Dining Kap & Me

Royal Indian Curry House

I am in love with all things spice-y & spicy. The spicier, the better, that’s my motto! ;) I love colors & flavors in my food, the added oomph just makes everything more enticing & exciting, don’t you agree?

But unless in buffets -which have plenty & varied culinary stations to offer, I don’t get to indulge in exotic food like Indian dishes because Kap & the kids like their food constant & simple. Ayaw nila yung maborloloy at maraming rekados. Which is why I love buffets because we can go our own merry way to find our own food, meet up again right after to enjoy our moment as a family, and still be happy together eating in one table & under the same roof! :)

So when Richard invited us to an Indian restaurant a couple of weeks back to celebrate his post birthday, I was deliriously happy & couldn’t contain my excitement. Si Kap, ho-hum lang ang dating. Nagtanong pa ng “Ma’am may I be excused?” Of course not! Sa hirap at ginhawa magkasama tayo diba? Walang iwanan!

My first time at Royal Indian Curry House & I can already tell that I’ll be a frequent customer! I really loved everything that Richard ordered for our intimate lunch. Bursting with herbs & spices galore <3

At syempre, dahil Indian food, Mala-Indian din ang OOTD! :P Naghagilap talaga ako sa baul!

Royal Indian Curry House is relatively small but has a 2nd floor which is accessible by an elevator! Woohoo I can take the mudras here! \m/

Rose Lassi 149 php. Yogurt drink. Maasim, parang panis na gatas. Ayan, nagmagaling kasi ako, lol! :P

Samosa (Veg 139 php/Non-Veg 169 php), 4 pcs. puff pastry filled with potatoes & peas, or chicken, deep fried until golden brown. This is the Vegetable Samosa. I loved the trio of sauces (especially the uber spicy one in the middle) that came with it. Will surely order this the next time I visit.

Happy happy birthday Chard! <3 May you have another year filled with good food spent in good company! :-* Ayan ha, nakatakip ang mukha mo! :P Richard doesn’t like to have his photo taken haha.

Mutton Curry 449 php & Murg Makhani (butter chicken) 399 php. Both bursting with flavors but I loved the Mutton Curry best. <3

Best paired with Garlic Naan 149 php & Butter Naan 129 php. Sooooo good! \m/

Hyderabadi Biryani 499 php. Hyderabadi rice with rib chops of lamb cooked with basmati on dum. MUST ORDER, people!!! <3

Vege Chicken Tikka 349 php. Soya marinated with spices & cooked in tandoor.

Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry Ice Cream 145 php.

Our best foodie buddies! <3 We click because we love to eat & discover new places together. Never a dull moment with this couple.

Thank you Chard for this special treat. Parang ako ang nag-birthday sa laki ng galak! ;)) And thank you too for letting me ride on your popular blog name haha. #TalesFromTheTummy x #TalesFromTheHeart. Kahit na lagi mo akong pinandidilatan at kinokontra, alam ko namang love na love mo ako, kaya you don’t mind.

Thank you too for all the foodventures & sharing all your invites with Kap & me! :-* Here’s to many more double dates ahead with you & Irene, and discovering many more restos in Manila & beyond! <3 Haberday, cousin!

Hi Jane! I can barely read right now because of new bleeding in both my eyes, so my field of vision is very, very limited. Buti nan lang magaling ako mag-touch-type, hahaha… heniways… just wanted to comment here that we share the same passion for Indian food. Hope I can visit this place soon. (will read your post later on, hehehe…)

    Have a great day!

I super like your dress ms. Jane! Plus it seems ‘presko’ to wear (which is a big plus considering the scorching weather)

I can’t wait for your UK trip posts! I’m sure it’ll be food and shopping filled (my favorite topics haha)

You lost weight Jane. Just in time for Europe!!!!!

I must say that Indian food is a tough cuisine to enjoy as a whole. I have favorite dishes, but for the most part something, some spice is turning me off. Plus, I have an aversion to the yellow curry that I cannot explain or understand.
