I just find this word too cute! ;)) Funicular: a railway on a steep slope, used to transport passengers up and down in special cars by means of a moving cable.

But I’m getting way ahead of my story! :P

Yesterday was a holiday. And you know me, I drag my kids places whenever I get the chance haha! Seeing it was a holiday & malls were bound to be packed, I decided that we’ll go further south & provincial so it’s not as crowded. We went back to tagaytay! :P

Whenever we go to highlands, it’s always rush-rush lunch or dinner that we don’t have time to enjoy the beautiful scenic view, or enjoy the rides such as the cable car & the (dundundun) funicular train! ;P So since we had a leisurely day, I asked the kids if they can indulge me with a sight-seeing trip of highlands that day.

First order of business.. lunch at the clubhouse! ;) We seldom eat in the clubhouse because our top highlands favorites are: 1.) Steakhouse 2.) China Palace 3.) Bistro Saratoga. The kids said I don’t have pictures yet from the clubhouse veranda haha (they are learning!) so we all voted for lunch at the clubhouse! ;)

Spicy tuna sashimi from Akasaka Japanese Restaurant
(There’s a bunch of conjoined restaurants on the 2nd floor where you can have your pick.
Fast food setting at fine dining price! @_@)
Salmon sushi..
Assorted sushi..
Ate’s Donburi..
Ebi Tempura..
Ravioli from Toscana Italian Pizza & Pasta
Quattro Formaggio Pizza
My takaw family hahaha! ;P
Behind us is the view of the poolside.. so refreshing. Makes you want to jump in! :)
Another cake blowing for my babyson! <3
Our beautiful, refreshing background! <3
TH is such a beautiful, exclusive place. We will never tire of it.
We made the right decision in investing here.
Pool area with several jacuzzis.. this is the life!!! m/

Cable cars behind us.. which made me want to ride! hahaha…
So here we are! ;))
Hamming it up. My kids are crazy! <3 <3 <3
My sweet Lavinia! <3
Okay, not to diss it? But TH cable car is soooooo not like the one in Picnic Grove.
I think TH is the only one in the Phils that has a real cable car…
Upon disembarkation (hehe).. Stopover at the golfer’s Lounge..
(where you can board the funicular)
Such beautiful unobstructedview! <3
My babyson.. in a pensive mood. Mwahaha!!! ;))
Spotted: COLEHAANS!!! ;))
Beautiful, healthy, free-range ducks.
Lovers in paradise! ;P
The funicular station, a short walk away from the golfer’s lounge.

Front seats are the best seats! :)
And guess who we spotted at the reception in midlands! Chris Tiu (whose father is the manager of TH)!!! ;) I thought he was taller. So, babyson.. you have pag-asa, hahaha!!! ;))

On your way back home, don’t forget to pass by Solenad 1 (nuvali, where the fish-feeding is. More of dining/recreation such as biking)) & Solenad 2 (better shopping) in Sta. Rosa, Laguna for some outlet shopping (you won’t miss it)!!! They carry famous expensive international brands such as M&S, Nine West, 158 Design Blvd., Nike/Adidas and many more!

Thank you kids for a beautiful day, and for bearing with me with all the riding, the waiting, and the shopping, hahaha! :P

Your blog is really interesting! Are you a member of tagaytay higlands? Wouldyou be so kind to sponsor me and my bf so we can get a day tour pass there? Please. Or do you know someone willing to sponsor us? Kindly let me know. We are willing to pay in exchange of the pass. Thank you so much!

I’m so sorry but day passes aren’t allowed any more. You can call highlands to check but the last time we were there a sign was posted on the gate saying they don’t allow letter of recommendations & day passes.
