Food & Dining My Kids

Churreria La Lola

The kids have always loved churros, a fried doughy pastry snack deep-fried in oil that originated from Spain. Especially those dipped in hot chocolate -the only way I eat mine. We use to have a Dulcinea cafe in our area that served great crispy Churros but sadly it closed. So when we were in SM Aura recently to look at the new Jenner x Topshop collab, we made a side trip to Churreria La Lola for our churros fix.

Churreria La Lola, brought in by the same people of Las Flores and Rambla, serves churros & variations, Xuxos (stuffed churros with a choice of: Nutella, Dulce de Leche, Strawberry Jam or Peanut Butter), and Horchata (traditional tiger nut drink from Spain).

Ate brought some home as pasalubong from when La Lola first opened, and my Lovey squealed in delight when she saw there was branch in SM Aura.

And I really don’t know what’s up with that pose. They like to annoy me! :P

The pandemonium of a new store has died down so we didn’t have to wait long to get to the good stuff.

A lola she is most definitely not. ;) Bakit kaya Lola si La Lola de Churreria? Anyone? :)

I prefer the plain over these. I like dipping mine in chocolate instead of covered. Parang sobrang tamis na.

Deep fried until crispy. Deadly but oh so lovely! <3 Buti nalang malayo sa amin!

Yum! <3

See how golden crispy it is?

Oh yes, pamatay talaga! @_@ 4 short pieces & I was only my way to dizzy-land!

I need to pack tea bags for when I eat fried & fatty foods. Grabe hindi na ako bumabata. Ano ba yan, did all the yuppies conspire to make deadly food to shorten our lives so they can rule the world? Hindi naman yata maganda yan! #EatPaMore @_@
