Despicable Me 2 was showing but the boys said a big NO to cartoons. Enough was enough, they had their manly pride to think of & protect. ;P So they decided to go their separate way & watch WHITE HOUSE DOWN instead. Kawawang white house, ilang beses na nilang binobomba, lels.
The movie posters above & below DO NOT BELONG TO ME.
The 2 girls saw that THE BLING RING was also showing, so they put Despicable Me on hold & we watched the fashion flick last friday night. Sayang crush ko pa naman si Channing Tatum! :P
THE BLING RING is about stealing & drugs. It’s R-16 so the content of the movie is on the mature side. After having watched it, I wouldn’t really recommend young impressionable girls to watch this as it teaches bad morals & values.
Inspired by actual events, a group of fame-obsessed teenagers, Rebecca (the ringleader), Marc, Nicki, Sam and Chloe, known as the Bling Ring, use the Internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts in order to rob their homes. Victims included Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox, Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr.
Sure, we drooled as we saw bags upon bags & shoes upon shoes of designer brands. And also gorgeous beverly hills mansions one could only dream about. But it all boils down to material possesions & how you should get hold of it at all cost. Defying everything.
They steal, and then sell, to pay for all-night partying & drugs.
This photo belongs to The Bling Ring.
Since we went in a few minutes ahead of the boys, we finished first & decided to kill time eating, lels.
It was already late so most restaurants were closed. We went to Bizu because the girls wanted salad & Chili’s was just too noisy.
Rooibos tea with hints of orange peels, strawberry bits, raspberry, coconuts and cornflower petals
Omelette aux Champignon 395 php
Wild mushroom ragout with cream cheese
Bizu sells breads at a markdown come closing time. Ate chose 3 kinds of whole wheat bread to eat with her diet meals at home.
What the girls chose. Ciabatta, Loaf, and Focaccia. All whole wheat.
We noticed our korean table-neighbors raising their voices & gesturing wildly to the bizu staff as we were eating. We later on learned that the bag of their lady companion was stolen (yes the whole thing) & they didn’t notice it until it was too late. Meaning, the person/s who took it was also dining (or sitting waiting to strike) inside the cafe. Scary. Thieves are getting braver & braver. We must all remain vigilant even in places we consider as safe havens. ATC is no longer a safe place. Always be wary. Sayang, bakit ba hindi ko nakunan, lels! :P
Siguro kakapanuod din lang ng BLING RING atna-inspire! :P zOMG!
