Bibimbop ATBP.

The cat (dad) is away, so the mice (us) will play! ;)) Waited forever for my babyson to finish basketball practice yesterday! @_@ Had a late dinner at a Korean restaurant after. A first for the kids.

Here’s what we had at Sam Won, recommended by my mommy-friend Tina, who tutors korean students. (Figured she was my best bet for info, haha). There were a nice mix of Korean & Filipino customers which means the restaurant offered authentic Korean food. I wasn’t mistaken, owners were Koreans & were manning the restaurant when I checked inside before calling the troop down! :)

Preparing our BBQ :)
Traditional korean appetizers & iced tea, inclusive with meal.
Sitting on the floor.. liberating haha! :P
‘Twas hard for me to get up though! My babyson & ate had to PULL me up! :))
Japchae (jabchaechapchae) is a dish made from sweet potato noodle (called dangmyeon),
stir fried in  sesame oil with various vegetables (typically thinly sliced carrots, onion, spinach, & mushrooms,
sometimes served with beef, and flavoured with soy sauce, and sweetened with sugar.
easonal vegetables added.
We are all NON-COOKS haha especially me.
So this lady was kind enough to assist us.
Marinated BBQ’d chicken.
Quite expensive ha. 600 for 2 pcs. leg/thigh combination..
Bibimbap (Korean pronunciation: pobimbap) is a signature Korean dish.
The word literally means “mixed meal.”
Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with sautéed

& seasoned vegetables and chili pepper paste.
A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions.
The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating.
Ate was wary of trying the food on our table.
It was clear from the start that she wasn’t too happy with my “surprise” & was just humoring me hehe…
My babyson, on the other hand, tried everything. And had an extra serving of rice! GOOD BOY! :)
Buti na lang the 2 younger ones ate everything in sight.
They must have been VERY HUNGRY already, hahaha! :P
Marinated BBQ’d pork – 400php!
Marinated BBQ’d Beef also 400php!

The Korean adventure wasn’t for us.. I know my kids, they wouldn’t think twice about ordering food, but this time they just let me order everything. Which was a sign they weren’t all that interested! :)) Even I wasn’t particularly taken with the taste & flavors. But they were a trooper to let me introduce this fare to them, though. Oh well, charge it to experience… 2k worth haha! :P

So I needed a “saving grace” to not make our night a total “bomb”! We went to their favorite yogurt place, Frutti Froyo!!!

Surprise! Surprise!
They have a new offering at FF! WAFFLES!!! <3
Finally!!! Happy faces!!! <3
So many wonderful toppings to choose from!!! <3 <3 <3

My colorful waffle! <3
They also charge it by the gram, so you can ask for a thicker waffle if you want.
Mine was PAYATTTTT!!! :(
I love how they’re not stingy with their water.
Most ice cream parlors SELL water! So this was a welcome sight.
Shows they care about their customers! <3
Sigh.. finally, HAPPY FACES!! Yay!!! m/
Got home waaaayyyyy too late! Good thing they woke up on time today. And in such a beautiful mood too! Slobbered me with hugs & kisses as I dropped them off in school. I love you so much, my babies!!! :-*
