#GOlobe30tting Day 9

Day 9

The 2 older kids went back to Westfield Stratford to queue for limited edition Adidas shoes, so they left early morning with Kap to line up. Glad their trip was successful, they got 1 pair each in their size of the latest Ultraboost Uncaged at the original unpadded price. Resellers in Manila sell at double, sometimes even triple the price, grabe! @_@

Staying home gave me & my Bae time to get more sleep, get some more washing done, and also a little blogging on the side for moi. I really want to document our adventure so even if it takes a major effort at hilong-talilong na ako sa antok when we get home, I do my best to keep track of our comings & our goings.

Because we weren’t successful yesterday, we went back to Tower of London right after lunch. Entrance fee is £25.00 /person or roughly 1.5k php. Boring AF but the kids seemed to appreciate art & history hehe. Fine by me.

I’m not into art & history so I really don’t care for places like this. But I’m happy the kids are really interested & they absorb the information. Para sulit naman ang entrance fee hehe.

The Tower of London, officially Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London, is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078, and was a resented symbol of oppression, inflicted upon London by the new ruling elite. The castle was used as a prison from 1100 (Ranulf Flambard) until 1952 (Kray twins).

May kapilyuhan talaga itong binata ko! @_@

The Tower of London has served variously as an armoury, a treasury, a menagerie, the home of the Royal Mint, a public records office, and the home of the Crown Jewels of England.

Ayan, the king & the royal jester! ;))

However, we weren’t as fortunate with Westminster Abbey which closes at 3:30pm. So I guess it means another special trip for this London sight.

img_6588

Stopped for a light snack of Fish & Chips. We eat at off hours, depende kung saan kami abutin at kelan matapos ang tour. So malapit-lapit na kaming magka-ulcer. 😛

Caught the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. Because parking is really hard, and we already parked for Westminster, we just took the tube to Buckingham, passing this beautiful Green Park in the process. So lush!

img_2657

The Green Park, the smallest of the capital’s eight Royal Parks comprises of just over 40 acres of mature trees and grassland situated next to the Buckingham Palace, The peaceful triangle between Piccadilly and Constitution Hill, it offers a popular location for picnics and sunbathing in fine weather. Yan, pwede rin ang landian blues.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the London residence and principal workplace of the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing.

I remember when Princess Diana met a most tragic accident leading to her untimely death, I was one of the saddest. Wala syang forever huhu.

img_6597

Looking for princes for my princesses. 😉

Kap’s friend vibered him a lobster roll place in Soho, so we tried that for din-din.

Google map has proven to be useful in the absence of waze. Mej mahirap lang intindihin but the kids are slowly getting used to it & can take us places without getting us lost. Kami ni Kap wala nang pagasa matuto!

Brioche roll with a choice of toppings in Original, The California, or my spicy Seven Samurai 7UK each. On the side: Sweet potato fries £2 & Lobster chowder £5. Going to bed happy!

On the way from Buckingham, we looked for a nearby Hard Rock Cafe station. Kap collects shirts bearing the county’s logo every time we visit a country. Nope, he doesn’t wear them, he keeps the shirts hidden safe & sound in the belly of his closet. For whatever purpose, I will never know. Kap is a mystery to me, lol.

Bili ng bili pero ayaw naming suotin, hay. Aamagin lang yang mga t-shirt mo Honey! @_@

My Bae & I are beat to the bones, I don’t know how Kap & the 2 older ones can keep on going & going & going. Para silang mga energizer bunnies, grabe! So when the giblings wanted to do more shopping after dinner, Lovey & I just went to the parking area & chilled. Ayaw ko na yata uli magbakasyon, sakit lang sa katawan at bulsa ang inaabot ko! 😛

I found a lazybones buddy in my Bae! ;)) She is really my partner in crime in everything.

Tuning out. I can harly keep my eyes open. The struggle is real. Zzzzzz.
