It is with a not-so-heavy heart that I am finally parting ways with my comfy fitflops in all colors imaginable. :P Matagal-tagal na ring pinag-iinitan ng mga anak ko my choice of footwear, lol. So now, they are rejoicing with my decision & saying good riddance to my trusty pairs. But sorry, I’m holding on to my Birkinstocks for a while pa! Sandals, after all, are meant for our hot, humid, all-year round sunny weather.
As you know, I am blessed to have personal stylists at home. ;)) Having 2 fashionable girls mean never having to leave home looking matronly & dowdy hehe. At my ripe old age, they dress me up with a youthful vibe in various hip & fun clothing. And yup, lately even in footwear -sneakers to be exact, which is the trend now. Kaya goodbye fitflops!
We 3 gals have the same shoe size, so I get to borrow their precious loot from time to time. But my feet are wide, so not all footwear in their shoe cabinets I find comfy. I revel in their sneakers though as those give me the most comfort when walking long distance (5 meters long distance na para sa akin lol). I have taken to Ate’s Adidas Ultra Boost & she finally gave me her limited edition black pair, to keep in my own closet. Nasuya na yata sa kahihiram ko haha.
Not content with just the black, I asked my babyson to look for a solid white so I can bring at least 2 to our coming trip. Skimming over Ate’s itinerary, I am seeing lots & lots of walking. Never-ending! @_@ Mukhang hindi kakayanin ng powers ko if no ultra boost literally to help me get around. :P
I have also decided to bring 2 lightweight bags to alternate instead of my heavier leather totes. Kawawa naman kasi si Kap my Kap if he has to lug my bag around on top of his own. So now I come prepared. Europe, bring it on!
Clothes, check. Shoes, check. Bags, check. Yep, I’m all set. ;)
