Acacia Hotel, My Big Birthday Blowout! (Part 2)

(continuation from yesterday)

It’s always more fun in the Philippines when you have adventures with your friends. Buddies with common interests.. and I’m not talking about exercise, mind you! :P I’m talking about people who have the same passion & intensity when it comes to FOOD & EATING! ;)

For my birthday weekend, ACACIA HOTEL was the home for me & some of my KTG foodie fambam as we scoured the corners & kasuluk-sulukan of the South, looking for gems of places to eat in between our hotel meals. Pigs in the City talaga! :P

Acacia Hotel is a stone’s throw away from our home so we have never stayed in. Dine yes -many times, live no. The GOppets were excited to finally discover unchartered territory so close to home. And can I just say, Acacia Hotel did not disappoint. <3 Warm & friendly smiles greeted us throughout our stay at the hotel. I have nothing but good words for the hotel’s great service & hospitality.

The Luxury of a Good Night’s Sleep

Acacia Hotel‘s elegant accommodation in Manila consists of 261 guestrooms that are designed to please the modern traveler. Each guestroom has the much-raved about Dream Bed (customized orthopedic beds with memory foam tops) and a pillow selection for enhanced sleep quality.

All guestrooms have the essential amenities, including a 40-inch flat-screen television, large executive desks, electronic “Do Not Disturb” and “Make-up Room” signs, fully stocked mini bar, coffee- and tea-making facilities, multimedia box, in-room dining menu and spacious marble baths with separate shower and bath tub for comfort and convenience.

Guestrooms with kitchenettes and access to a common laundry area are available.

Acacia Hotel Manila also has facilities for the specially-abled and a devoted smoking floor.

Housekeeping was so sweet to give me a birthday banner! <3 I really felt at home. Yes, kasi tanaw ko bahay ko, but also because of the warm reception we got the moment we set foot in Acacia Hotel.

Did you know? Acacia Hotel has a PILLOW CONCIERGE. WTF RIGHT? You can choose the pillow you want for the night. As I have a bad back, I asked for an orthopaedic pillow. To go with my ORTHOPAEDIC DREAM BED. I slept like a log, I tell ya. Zzzzzzzzz…..

Built especially for long staying guests, the Executive Suite is equipped with a kitchenette that has an induction cooker and a refrigerator. Guests will also be given access to a common laundry room.

*The basic/regular room starts at 4.5k up/night depending on the season. CLICK HERE to find the best package for you.

Another surprise.. or is it MORE SURPRISES! My little fiesta cake complete with buntings! And the elephant towel with a single rose.. and the colorful balloons! I felt so pampered & loved! Thank you Acacia Hotel! <3

REVEAL ON SATURDAY!!! ;)) Super cheesy. I LAVETT! <3

Our executive room is HUGE. And it comes with a mini kitchen too. The noobs don’t know how to use the microwave so this is a novelty for them. Heating leftover pasta! :P Our last hotel stay they learned to use the washing machine & dryer. There is something new to learn in every staycation haha.

Like I said, our room was HUGE. So huge that it fit our King Bed, and 3 extra cots with room to spare as you can see. It’s as big as our own room at home so hindi kami namahay. Kap & I had the King Orthopedic Dream Bed to ourselves while the 3 kids camped out in their comfy cots. Unfair I know. But that’s life. :P

The bathroom had a separate tub & shower area with rainfall shower head. I was so happy that a hairdryer was available to tame my frizzy hair. Buhaghag ang buhok ko buong araw if I don’t blow-dry in the morning.

Gym & exercise if very important to The Exorcist. She goes CRAZY if she doesn’t exercise for a day. Especially after eating so much at the buffet. She is happy coz there’s a gym. I am happy coz there’s buffet. Quits na kami ni Ate.

Filipino Hilot Massage 1 hour and 15 minutes/ Php 1,000. Hilot is Philippines traditional massage which has been practiced for generation. It is also known as a healing therapy for its power to cure pains and illnesses. This therapy involves heat, banana leaves, coconut oil and a healing massage with a total of 7 strokes. At dahil Rated GP itong blog ko (and we had chaperones in the room), Kap & I decided to forego the banana leaves & oils and just concentrated on the 7 strokes. It was SO GOOD that we didn’t want the massage to end huhu.

Located at the 3rd floor, the pool area gives you a glimpse of the city. Why not enjoy the heated jacuzzi while you take a sip from your refreshing drink.

My Lovey. The Alabang tourist! :P

Because staycations are meant to be relaxing, all we did was nap, eat, sleep.. and yes, eat again come morning. Breakfast after all, is the most important meal of the day! ;)

Acacia Hotel trumps all other hotels when it comes to pampering & attention to detail this time around. I was super touched & teary-eyed upon seeing these personalized placards on our long table. Thank you so much Acacia Hotel for your overwhelming love! <3 I truly felt like a queen for the day -and night! :-*

For the ultimate Acacia Hotel buffet experience. Go for the Hotpot & Mongolian stations.

We were still all so full from our heavy (and late) steak lunch so we just lounged, picked & nibbled at the colorful sushi & sashimi display. Too much of the good life is not always good. :P Hinay-hinay din pag may time. :P

How fun that Acacia Hotel served TIKOY for dessert! <3 I love this chinese suman!

With the lovely ladies MARLA MENDOZA & NIKKI TABBERRAH. And some of the infamous KTG. Yeah. They love me alright! :P

Breakfast Buffet..

Breakfast is what gets me excited every day. Especially during staycations because I know I’m in for a big treat!

All my requirements met.. bacon, corned beef & runny eggs (the best!). I’m good to go. <3

What’s good about buffet is there’s always something for everyone. Ate is happy with the yogurt selection while Kap attacked the congee & oatmeal stations.

Obviously, we are not a family who skips breakfast.. or take it LIGHTLY (pun intended). ;)

Staycations also afford us to just BE together. I am an advocate for faMEALy meals so the kids have no choice but to stay and mingle with us in the duration of our stay haha. Lalo na si galang Babyson!

People who have become like my second family.. I love them dearly. <3

Thank you so much MARLA MENDOZA & Acacia Hotel for the overflowing love! <3

And many thanks to my KTG family for spending my special day with me. People come & go, but I hope that you will be the ones who will stay with me through thick & in, in good & in bad -in spite of our many differences. Always forgiving, always understanding. Never judging.
