Food & Dining Kap & Me

75th Whachi Anniversary

Kap endears himself to me in so many ways. One thing I’ve always loved about him is is sense of humor & joie de vivre. Life is one big Comedy Central with my hunny bunny. And even when we’re not together, he can still get me to smile with a mere text message..

And so it goes. Kap’s “event”, hehe. ;))

Golden Bay Seafood Restaurant

CBP1, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Baclaran, Pasay City (02) 5567525

I was dreading the night because 1) I didn’t know anybody there 2) For sure we would be surrounded by war veterans read: senior citizens 3) It was gonna be a dragging night filled with Chinese songs & long speeches. Surprise surprise, I enjoyed every single moment in Kap’s company. I don’t know why I even worried. Life is never boring with my Hunny around, that’s for sure. 🙂

Kap: O sweetheart ha? Sa event mo ba sa VIP table ka nakaupo? Sa event mo ba may mga dragon dance? Walang sinabi ang mga events mo sa event ko kahit nag-iisa. Yes, life’s a hoot with my Kap. 😉

Papa was a war veteran so in his behalf, Kap was invited to the 75th Anniversary of Whachi. Naturally, I was his plus one.

I have always been fascinated with the dragon dance. And at the event, I didn’t even have to go chasing it around hehe.

Actually, the promise of this got me excited & was the clincher in the deal, lol. Crispy Roasted Pigeon, my all time fave. 680 php/pc. Also on the menu: Cold cuts combination, Steamed suahe, Fish lip thick soup, Sauteed Sea Cucumber, Stir-fried cuttlefish ball salad, Chef special roll with crab roe, Steamed lapu-lapu, Seafood noodles, Chinese pastries & a Hot dessert. Noms! <3

Whachi Guerillas were a group of underground resistance fighters during World War II in the Philippines. They fought the Japanese occupying forces between 1942 and 1945, ambushing them intermittently and acting as spies. They survived by hiding in mountains, caves and sometimes in abandoned houses. Their full name in Chinese means Overseas Chinese Anti-Japanese Guerilla Force. Their popular moniker Squadron 48, was coined in honor of the Eight Route Army and the New Fourth Army of the Communist force in China. Papa was one of them.

Ang guerillang nang-ambush sa puso at kaluluwa ko. <3 Always happy to be with you.

At dahil puro senior citizen ang bisita, it was an early night. Uwian na at 10 pm. Until your next event my love. 🙂 It is my honor to be your plus one. Thank you for taking me along. :-*
