Food & Dining

Todd English Food Hall

My girls & I, we LOVE Jin. Not just love, mind you, but L-O-V-E!!! <3 We are such fans, so wherever she eats, we try to visit as well.Yes, stalker niya talaga kami, lels.

For the past weeks, her constant Instagram posts were at TODD ENGLISH. Since it was financially accessible to us (read: does not cost an arm, a leg, and a liver!), we decided to give it a try a couple of Thursday ago as soon as summer started for my girls.

What’s on the 5th floor. :)

Yeah.. this is me not knowing how to use my camera’s many wonderful settings haha! I will forever be a noob! :P

Whadya’ know? As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we found a very lovely lady waving to us by the cupcake carousel with a beautiful smile! At Todd English for the 3rd straight day! I couldn’t believe my eyes at first (okay I need glasses) but got really excited the moment I confirmed it was indeed, my favorite foodie goddess. <3

It is always such a pleasure talking with Jin. <3 She is a like a breath of fresh air.

I seriously want to ride this cupcake carousel!!! <3

We were so happy to bump into her & it set our mood for the rest of the day. <3 What’s more, a reader, JANET RODRIGUEZ sent me a message, as soon as she saw my post on Instagram, that she was also dining at Todd English & was, like me, an avid fan of Jin’s (I mean, who isn’t?). She came all the way from Davao so I made sure we met, and led her to a photo op with the very accommodating Jin who was busy eating but still smiled prettily & posed with us. I just love her humility & accessibility to us her fans. <3

Hello Janet! :-*

Hope you had a great Manila vacay. See you soon! :)

After asking the expert on her food recos, we went ahead & ordered the following:

TODD ENGLISH FOOD HALL

5/F SkyPark, SM Aura Premiere, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

Operating hours: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday to Sunday

Email: toddenglishfoodhallmnl@gmail.com

Twitter: @TEFoodHallMNL

Instagram: @toddenglishfoodhallmnl

There are several stations in the Food Hall so I was confused at first, I though we had to go to each one to order, then pay. I was relieved when our server handed us menus where we can conveniently choose any from each station & delivered straight to our table.

GIANT Dynamite Roll 250 php m/

Pork Dumpling 199 php. I like that it was seared & had more than the average fillings. We also loved the paste-like sauce that came with it.

Asada Steak with Pear Salsa Taco 320 php (3 per order)

Flatbread station, one of the more popular stations in the Food Hall.

The Classic Todd English Flat Bread 380 php

Coke Zero 80 php

I don’t normally order Mac & Cheese (450 php) because I feel it’s too simple. We got this order for my Lovey though because she loves Mac & Cheese. It was a pleasant surprise to find that there’s nothing ordinary with this pasta dish. It was yum in every bite with the most wonderful mix of truffle & cheese flavors oozing! <3

Veal Agnolotti 590 php

The pasta had a mushy veal filling. Next time I’ll get a plainer one. I prefer my pasta without fillings. But of you like raviolis, then this would be a good alternative.

Kimchi Fried Rice 340 php This is BY FAR the BEST kimchi rice I’ve ever had! <3 You can really taste the kick & flavor of the kimchi. Even my girls liked it, I was surprised.

Todd English Half Chicken 320 php

Great flavors, except the white chicken part was a tad dry.

Couldn’t resist.. SUGAR & SPICE! ;))

My foodie loves who always accompany their mommah. LOVE! <3

(Whimsical Unicorn Cap from Forever 21, around 500 php)

This was the one & only dessert available the day we were there. But OMG! This OMG Chocolate Cake 420 php was THE BOMB!!! <3 So expensive but sooooo worth it!

Since we didn’t have a reservation, we had to wait a bit, so make sure you call as the Food Hall is packed with curious foodies like me. I’m sure it’ll even get more crowded in the days to come as they introduce even more dishes.

The communal seats. But there are also single tables if you are willing to wait for occupancy. CALL TO RESERVE!
