Top Torikatsu by Bounty Fresh: Behind the Scene!

I’m feeling so siga nowadays. :P I can call myself a legit blogger na hehe. Hindi na ako nagpapanggap! m/ I can now put on my card: Jane Go, Blogger #pagbigyan. More or less three weeks ago, I got an email for a product review. Nuks naman! Feelingera talaga ako! ;)) It was for a food pack & I was chosen among one of the million other bloggers to feature it. Bounty Fresh is really going all out in its advertisement. :P

I was hesitant to accept it coz first of all, I DON’T COOK. @_@ But at second inspection, it doesn’t need Nora Daza skills naman pala. My kids already like DRUMMETS, and this product review they wanted me to do was very similar. Just fry and eat! Although, I really don’t know how to fry a thing either.

I received these last Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. 4 classic & 1 cheese and chives. Can I just say.. BOO!!! Cheese & Chives turned out to be our favorite flavor after all. And it’s the ONLY one in 5 packs! </3

Thank you, family, for always supporting me in my endeavors haha. Rest assured, pag nagka-award ako balang araw, iaalay ko sa inyo ng buong-buo! ;))

But for the sake of blogging, and of course the product review of Bounty Fresh’s TOP TORIKATSU, I ventured out to our kitchen. I got lost btw coz I didn’t even know I had a kitchen! (nuks akala mo naman ang laki ng babay!) and COOKED! And I have pictures to prove. I’m so very proud of myself!

This is the UNCOOKED cheese & chives, our favorite among the 2 flavors.

But even though I burnt them to a crisp, I can honestly say I was impressed that the chicken remained moist & juicy. Not dry at all. This is the ORIGINAL flavored Torikatsu.

I’m not a donya, please don’t judge me. :P I drive my kids everywhere -I don’t have a driver. I carry my packages -I don’t have a yaya doing that for me. I don’t have alalays or bodyguards, unless you count my kids! :P I’ll clean the house if I have to. I’ll wash the dishes even. But please, don’t make me cook. I really have no passion for it. I’ve never seen my mom cook so I never learned how. Kap married me with that knowledge & has accepted my shortcomings wholeheartedly. :) Look, this was my Lovey’s reply to me when I asked her to come down & take my picture as I cooked..

See. Even she was SHOCKED hahaha!!! :P

So going back to the food review, they sent me a press kit which I have included in this post word for word so I don’t leave out anything accidentally..

Top Torikatsu is the new generation quick gourmet ulam! It comes in two flavors – Classic and Cheese & Chives, and is made with the choicest, 100% Bounty Fresh chicken breasts. Just deep fry it for 3 minutes and it’s ready to be enjoyed!
It’s 179 php for 450 grams (6 pcs. per pack)

The new-generation quick gourmet ulam

People need to eat. That’s a given fact. But with our active, busy lifestyles, oftentimes we find ourselves without the time or the energy to prepare a decent meal, that is, if we even know how to cook in the first place. For us, the usual option is to order food for takeout or delivery, or just rely on bland, ready-to-eat items like canned goods or processed meats.

The people at Bounty Fresh know that this shouldn’t be the case. As the first Philippine company to win the Best Poultry and Livestock Company Award at the 2009 Asian Livestock Industry Awards, Bounty Fresh continues to provide delicious and top-quality chicken products, making it deserve its tag as being “Asia’s Best.”
Now, Bounty Fresh brings us Top Torikatsu, the first in a brand new line of heat-and-eat items for people who lack time or the knowhow to prepare meals but nonetheless appreciate great-tasting chicken dishes. Based on the ever-popular Japanese breaded chicken cutlet dish, Top Torikatsu is made from the choicest, 100% chicken breasts and is coated with crispy breadcrumbs for that extra crunch and texture. But what makes Top Torikatsu distinct is that it comes in two flavors – Classic and Cheese & Chives. The Classic variant is filled with delectable mayonnaise, while the Cheese & Chives variant oozes with savory cream cheese and chives bits. And most important of all, it’s easy to cook; just fry it for three minutes.
Not only is Top Torikatsu delicious, but it also takes little effort to prepare. Even a person with the least cooking skills can impress himself or herself with this tasty, quick, and effortless dish. And if you can impress yourself, then you can surely impress others with it, too. That is the idea behind the inaugural campaign for Top Torikatsu, starring the three charming and witty hosts of the popular radio and online show Boys Night Out – Sam YG, Slick Rick, and Tony Toni. In a series of online videos that will soon be uploaded on Top Torikatsu’s official YouTube channel (youtube.com/toptorikatsu), you will see these three renowned ladies’ men use different moves to try and get the girl, but with surprising results. And then they learn the one move that will make the ladies love them in an instant. It will work for you, too.
With its 100% pure, quality chicken goodness that only Asia’s Best Bounty Fresh can provide, along with its unique flavors and ease of preparation, Top Torikatsu is definitely something that you will love in an instant.

My kids have gently reprimanded me on the need to be choosy with what I agree to post here. Huwag daw ako mag-YES sa lahat! ;)) I forgot to ask for their permission in my excitement haha. Buti na lang this TOP TORIKATSU exceeded my expectations! ;) Unlike Drummets, which was more like Mcdo chicken nuggets with extenders, this one was packed with real chicken breast slices.

If you guys mind it very much, this will be my first & last review haha. :) I will never post or recommend anything that I do not like or believe in, I hope you know that. And I don’t want my blog to come out as very commercialized. Sugar & Spice is my heart & soul. <3

So, thank you Bounty Fresh, for my 5 packs of Top Torikatsu! :) We have shared 3 packs with our staff who ran after the chickens below for my photo op haha, and kept the 2 for our own taste test. They were delighted as well with their food packs & cooked a MUCH better version than mine, I’m sure -and extends their gratitude to you good people. And thank you too, my dear readers, for bearing with me with this sponsored food post. Pero in fairness, nagluto naman ako para may personal touch ko pa rin haha. #whatIdoforfreebies

Para maiba naman! :P We went to my mom’s driver’s house to take pics with his flock of chickens. My Kap was laughing at me when I requested to have a photo op with them. Dapat daw white leghorn, not the pang-sabong kind. WHITE WHAT??? What do I care, basta may manok na kasama ok na!

Bounty Fresh, please give me naman an “A” for Ay-fort! ;)

Hi mommy Jane, congratulations on being a certified blogger and for trying your hand at cooking! I’ve read other blogs featuring this product but none of them got me interested on buying this Torikatsu but upon reading your review parang gusto ko na lumabas agad at maghanap sa grocery nito. You swore on it being still moist and juicy despite its burnt state. I’m sold on this.

Katuwa your picture with the chicken(pansabong na manok, ang baho kaya nyan..ahehe)

Hahaha, my coffee shot out of my nose while reading this, Mommy Jane. In fyurnezz, iba ang review mo: honest and humorous.

Baliktad tayo, I LOVE to cook – as in, 7 pa lang ako nagluluto na ako – and my Mom taught me the basics as a child. Pagluto kita? Hihihi…

Na-sad naman ako na last mo na itong product feature. I liked your style…but I do understand naman na you need to be choosy too. Mahirap naman kung anu-ano lang. Hard to write a good feature if ayaw mo ang product. On 2nd thought.. eh kung di mo ba nagustuhan eh ihahabla ka nila? :P

you are the perfect “mowdel” for this product, kasi if you can cook it (with all your admission that you have no talent or passion in cooking) then it is user friendly kung baga. i just tip my hat that kap joined in the fun.
