One of our agreements (Me & Kap) with our recent makati staycation was no eating in the hotel restos for the duration of our stay unless otherwise included in our package. Yes, if you thought I exaggerate whenever I call my Honey “KAP”, you are sorely mistaken. KURIPOT, maKUNAT.. that’s him! :P
So a week before our booking, I really asked my friends around for restaurants in the makati area that are, for lack of a better term, CHEAP, but served good -& more importantly CLEAN food.
The kids were game when I told them about it. I said to just pretend we were abroad, on an adventure, and just to enjoy everything as they come. One good thing about my kids is they know balance in our family. They don’t complain. Sanay na sila sa tatay nila. They can eat just about anywhere. ;)
A mommy friend suggested..
101 Hawker Food House
Address: Unit 102 Campos Rueda Building, 101 Urban Ave., near corner Buendia and Ayala Ave., Makati City, Philippines
Store Hours: Monday to Friday 6AM – 10PM. Saturday 6AM – 3PM
It’s really like the Hawker Food Center in Singapore so don’t expect much when you go. The plates are melamine, the people are super noisy because the acoustics is BAD. But, the food is good!
Kailanman, nasaan ma’y ito ang pangarap koMakuha mo pa kayang ako’y hagkan at yakapin, hmm…
Hanggang pagtanda natin.
